64 /100 SAARBRUECKER STRASSE 16 Visit October 2012. |
60 /100 SAARBRUECKER STRASSE 16 Nice German brewpub with a couple of copper kettles in the room. We tasted the three beers on tap (Helles, Dunkel and Weiss) and they were ok. The food is nice and the service friendly. |
70 /100 SAARBRUECKER STRASSE 16 I enjoyed my visit to this small brewery in the center of this industrial town. They offered a few house beers and a very good spent grain bread. The service was by committee and quite attentive. A copper kettle sits in the middle of the restaurant. |
58 /100 SAARBRUECKER STRASSE 16 Typical newer German bar/restaurant. Only 2 brews on tap this night and too late for any food order. Service OK, beer OK. Wish they had more beers as they are OK. |
68 /100 SAARBRUECKER STRASSE 16 Nice brewpub in the town-center. They used to have more seasonals a few years ago, now they mainly have a Bockbier (Kastanienbock) as a seasonal. Their beers are good, but nothing special. Food is also nice, but not very cheap. |
62 /100 SAARBRUECKER STRASSE 16 On the grounds of a defunct factory that looks more like some sort of alien spaceship. That alone gives it extra pojnts for atmosphere. Inside, there are machine parts everywhere, including 4 taps made out of old valves. The beers are tasty enough, the food is good, and the service is prmpt, cheery and efficient. Worth a look. |
72 /100 SAARBRUECKER STRASSE 16 Hiding just behind Hooter’s it is not a bad place. Service while I was there was good. Food was also very nice. A good place to go and relax after shopping at the mall next door. |
44 /100 SAARBRUECKER STRASSE 16 Nice up scale brew pub. I drank downstairs at the bar, but upstairs is a nice restaurant. The beers they brew are on tap and very good for this region. Although I speak a bit of German I still had a hard time getting my order in. Worth a stop if your in town or a night cap after the Hooters next door. |
62 /100 SAARBRUECKER STRASSE 16 Went around 2000 this Sunday night, service was OK, but pretty slow even by German standards, especially considering we were sitting at the bar. Tried a mug of each of their Dunkel, Hells, and Weisbier. All were good, none were great. Got a growler each of the Dunkel and Hells to take home with me for around 14,00 euro each (including the deposit.) I’ll go again if I’m in the area but I wouldn’t go too far out of my way to visit.
The grilled Turkey Steak was excellent. |
70 /100 SAARBRUECKER STRASSE 16 Pretty easy to find - just look for the bizarre looking water tower (wasserturm - it looks like something out of Mad Max). Went there pretty early on a Friday. Service was good. The food was very good - pretty typical German fare - some wild game dishes were available. Interesting place to say the least - beer was pretty average. |
58 /100 SAARBRUECKER STRASSE 16 Very strange place indeed, just below the most strange watertower in the world inside it’s a mix of German style and American dining. They have 4 decent beers. We tried some dessert and it was quite poor. |
