Abbey Inn (Bar)
99 POLLARD LANE
“In the valley below Horsforth where the canal, river and railway line all run basically parallel to each other. The pub is right below the pedestrian bridge that is closest to where the trains pass. There's a couple of rooms around a central to the building service area, which has a row of cask ales on it and a few more macro keg brews. It's a traditional pub in its own building with a packed terrace area out front, with some of this seating covered.“

“Probably my favourite pub! A cracking selection of real ale, usually plenty of local brews on. Always a good mix of stouts/porters, bitters and paler stuff, repleat with tap handle aadoring the walls and ceilings. A warm welcome guaranteed from knowledgable staff particularly Martin the landlord. Housed in an 18th century farmhouse with low beemed ceiling and a few ’rooms’. the outside is excellent in the summer too. Not content with simply serving excellent beer they host a beer and music festival every year, have regular live bands playing and the quiz is a cracking night. winner of CAMRA Community Pub of the Year in 08/09, easy to see why. Only minor gripe is lack of foreign beers.“
