52 /100 Kaštonų Bulvaras (Bar) NAGLIų GATVė 18B Kaštonų Bulvaras, Latvian for "chestnut boulevard", is located near the harbor in Nida. It looks like a small, open cabin with a few tables sourrounding it, and I suspect it’s only open during the summer months. But with four beers on draft (Carlsberg, Grimbergen and two Lithuanian from Švyturys) it makes for a nice stop along the Nida waterfront, with reggea music playing from the speakers and some very relaxed bartenders. 58 /100 Rūkyta žuvis Tik pas Joną (Restaurant) NAGLIų 6-1 Rūkyta žuvis means "smoked fish" in Lithuanian, which is a local speciality on the Curonian Spit where the resort town of Nida is located, so you’ll find a number of family run businesses headed by those two words. Tik pas Joną is located at the very start of the Naglių street, which goes through Nida, and this family run business consists of a fish smokery and a restaurant. From the outdoor seating area of the restaurant, guests can enjoy the great view of the vast Curonian lagoon. In addition to an excellent kitchen, Tik pas Joną offers a cider and five beers on draft (four Latvian and a Czech) making this a great stop to "refuel" on the way back from the impressive 50 meter tall sand dunes just to the south of town. The best beer and food place I found in Nida. Visited on 2013-07-04. |
