| 72 /100 27 CURTIS INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, NORTH HINKSEY LANE “From the city center we walked under the railway bridge and then along the same street for about 20 minutes when turning slightly to the left and into a warehouse-like, industrial area to this taproom. A food wagon outside with delicious street food, including Thai dishes. They have, indeed, made most out of the taproom, two floors and quite cozy upstairs with sofas and a retro touch to the layout. Servery and brewery to rear of the main room. At our stay they had six of their own beers on tap, and a few more on cans. A few guest beers as well. The keg beers are available in thirds. Good vibe on a Friday eve with live music from the singer songwriter James Kirby. Friendly service. (Visited with Finn 25.10.2019).“ |

Located in an industrial district and a bit hard to find through the alleys. The first floor is the taproom, open front, small bar, a few tables. No food other than bags of chips and such. Upstairs is a coffee bar. I think there were perhaps 8-10 taps of their own beer available. They did half pours, full pours and perhaps flights. Service was above and beyond expectations (see below), but unfortunately beer quality was not great. A word of warning; do NOT rely on Gmaps for opening times!! I arrived on a Monday afternoon because Gmaps said they were open but that is only true of the coffee bar upstairs. Fortunately the barista took pity on me and opened up the first floor bar to serve me some half pours. I really really appreciated that after the effort it took to arrive. The bar itself is only open on Friday and Saturday afternoons, as per the hours here on RB.“ |

| 84 /100 27 CURTIS INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, NORTH HINKSEY LANE “We visited here on Saturday 4th March 2017, the we being me, Loz, Glen, Ian, Jjsint & John C. Tap Social is located on an Industrial Estate just off of the Botley Road, the unit appears to actually abut the Ring Road wall, though despite the heavy flow of traffic around this section it wasn’t too noisy at all. If walking from the centre allow about 25-30 mins as it is about a mile and a half from George St, there are plenty of buses that ply this route, so its not hard to get to at all. If walking just head towards the railway station, go under the railway bridge and just keep heading up the Botley Rd, past the trading estates, Waitrose, Car Forecourts, P&R etc before turning left onto the Industrial Estate which is just behind the McDonalds. It is just a mid sized industrial unit, there appears to be a mezzanine floor, but as you enter the bar is straight ahead and beyond this the brewing equipment can be seen up against the back wall. There is an assortment of tables, chairs and large rugs to soften the appearance and it has to be said it works very well, its simple but very effective and a great deal of effort has gone into making this place comfortable and welcoming, this extends to the great group of staff who are so friendly and chatty. It was reasonably busy on our visit, but we did manage to find a spare table that could accommodate us all. Beer choice was very decent, whilst they only had their own beers on tap (who can blame them) these are all very good btw, but there was a nice selection of bottles and cans in the fridge, in fact we had a beer from a new London outfit which was very decent. In terms of food it is just crisps, peanuts, and that type of thing at the moment. I think that if I lived more local I would find myself in here frequently, in fact when we were back in town at the Pint Shop we explained to a young couple about this place as they lived in Botley and they were heading there on their way home. I love what these folk are doing (see comments and description under details above regarding this place) I wish them every success, however from what I’ve seen they have hit the ground running. *Btw they also have a music licence now and have been hosting the odd gig on a Fri or Sat.“ |

The warehouse feel is anything but cold; it becomes immediately obvious what a labour of love this is. Only four of their excellent beers on keg but these are supplemented by a small but well considered bottle and can selection: Crate, Toast, Omnipollo and Chorlton are represented. A great place to be: I cannot gush enough.“ |
| 76 /100 27 CURTIS INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, NORTH HINKSEY LANE “The Brewery tap is in a factory unit at the far end of an Industrial Estate close to the Oxford By-Pass, a quick 20 minute walk from town. The bar is at the front end of the unit, pretty well set up compared to a lot of taps of this ilk, warm and comfortable with scattered chairs and tables across a wide area. There seems to be 9 taps available with just 4 in operation on my visit. The staff are welcoming and keen to talk about their beers, there is also a range of bottles mainly from good London microbreweries. There is even a rug on the floor, I really recommend a look here, I understand that the opening times may increase when they are established.“ |
