“As you know by now, this place really gives you some industrial vibes. This place is like a reflection of all these industrial feel, open space clubs from L.A. you never been to, but when you see all of these pool tables around you, and relax yourself on leather couch - that's how it should feel to be there, you think. Tauros Loftas is a club - it's bursting with people in weekend's evenings, because it's almost the only respectable and well-managed place in whole Panevežys, where you gonna run into live music gigs, comedy shows, ect. Dundulis beers there are a nice compliment - a few of Dundulis beers are brewed at same building, where Tauros Loftas is situated - but it's not the best place to enjoy them, if you want just a pint of beer.“

“Cosmopolitic hip looks meets lithuanian roughness - that's how I would describe this place. Rough wood surfaces, menu writen in chalk, beards and earings behind the bar. You can say, that this Špunka was a blue print, and set an example how all new places under Špunka name should look and feel. And all the new "Špunka" places a really following the pattern. The food they offer is typical for a global beer place - chilli, burgers, fried stuff, ect. The beer they pour, ofcourse, comes from "Dundulis". But it just happens, that part of "Dundulis" volume is brewed in Panevežys, so from my experience, you can hope for some unique treats, which won't reach, for example, Vilnius. To me it happend twice (I am not local, but I visit this place 3-5 times a year) - once, I remember it quite well, they were pouring some limited edition "Dundulis" gruit ale, which was mainly brewed for Sweden's market. If you gonna grab some food here, I warn you - chef is really into SALT, so ask for less. In my opinion, best place for beer in Panevežys.“

“So this place acts like an embassy for Piniavos Alus. You can always be sure, that you gonna get a whole range of theirs beer, with a chance of running into some treats too. Sometimes they can pour the same beer, but from two different barrels - one standing for "freshly" brewed ale, and another for "matured" one. Would rate it higher if not an accident which happend to me a few years ago. One "loyal" customer of theirs confronted me - some drunk guy, trying to force me to show my documents, because he is volunteering police helper. When I said no, he took it as an insult and went to such an extreme, that the only way to settle the argument, according to him, was going outside. Ofcourse, I declined. Later he tried to provoke me by cursing, and shouting at me, boasting to the bar lady how he is gonna hit me hard. I don't care about bums like that, but what really unsettled me, was the reaction of the establishment's owner - he did nothing to defend me, didn't cared at all to tell that guy stop shouting and cursing. Is it example of total ignorance, where drunk "loyal" customer is more important than peaceful visitors, or post-soviet belief in neo-liberal truths that just like market economics can regulate itself, so will the people, and finally drunk (sic!) guy will come to his sense? I don't know. Worth a visit to try Piniavos' beers, thou.“

“A very welcoming place. There was a bike race that closed many of the town’s streets so we walked a cicuitous route to find it. It’s a pub with a small bar and lots of restaurant tables, plus a very nice outdoor area, part covered and part open to the sky, but it was raining when we visited. Three or four of their beers on offer, plus a range of others. Staff were very welcoming and provided us with keys to nail to the lightning tree outside - the tree died when it was struck, but when someone nailed a key to it, it sprouted anew. Great story, great place.“

“A change in pace compared to other Lithuanian beer places I have visited. This large bar with pool table, 3 baby-foot tables, large projector showing music videos. Many comfy leather couches, a member of our party even took a nap. An overall industrial vibe that made me feel like I was back in North-America in some low-class big beer bar. Their Taura Lofto Nefiltruotas is a very decent thirst beer but other than that it was all common Lithuanian offerings.“

“We visited the Piniavos Botago brewery, not much to see there. However their bar (this place I am rating right now) is a lot of fun. Patrons appeared to be older folks compared to the younger party crowd at Gyvo Alaus Krautuvélé five miles away. Nice rustic bar offering some Piniavos beers on tap and in bottles. Some of those Piniavos are really worth trying because they are original, especially those filtered through branches of this and that. IMPORTANT TOURIST TIP : One thing really cool about this bar is the tree they have in front. You bring a key, any key, and they will lend you a hammer to nail your key up this large tree that has thousands of keys already nailed to it. The meaning of this I forget but it is a sign of respect to the Lithuania country. Bring a spare key when you visit this bar.“

“Very nice little wooden house with a bar in it, and a large outside seating area. Run by a family, the daughter has a little English, and the son I’m told quite a bit. Good, friendly service. Clearly a place for the locals. They seemed to just have the three beers from Piniava, but draft they were in excellent condition and just lovely. The most pleasant place I saw in Panevezys.“

“A small bar with tall stools along one wall, a few fridges with bottles along the other, and a bar. It’s really a place that dispenses beer into PET bottles and sells bottled beers, but you can drink them there. Friendly service. Not much happening the short while I was there. Lots of imports, but a good selection of Lithuanian craft beer. Similar to Spunka in Vilnius, but much more emphasis on the takeaway part.“

“Établissement visité le jeudi 8 mars vers 11h30. Ambiance: Immense loft. Projection sur les murs. Présence de divan billard et baby foot. Service: L’endroit à été ouvert pour nous donc le service était bien. Les employés se débrouillent un peu en anglais. Sélection: 3 bières maisons en fût. 3 bières invitées en fût. Une dizaine de bouteilles européennes. (186e rating d’établissement)“

“Établissement visité le mercredi 7 mars vers 19h. Ambiance: Tout en bois, pièce sur pièce. Décoration antique un peu partout. De l’autre côté de la rue vous aller découvrir un arbre où il est possible d’accrocher une de vos clés. Service: Faut dire qu’on nous attendais, donc on a été super bien servi. Sélection: Les bières de Pianiva car c’est le même propriétaire. (185e rating d’établissement)“

“Well, I have to give it a thumbs up for having table football. Service was OK except for food confusion where we didn’t know how much of what we’d be getting, or when it would arive. Which, as we were on a tight schedule, was a little annoying. It was tasty when it arrived. Beer selection was eclectic. They had their own beer, and Dundulio, but I also managed to find a couple of Czech ticks too.“

“Gorgious rustic-feeling bar, and the freshest lushest Piniava beer you will ever find (except perhaps at the brewery itself). Local vibe felt very warm. Cozy back room if you want quiet, main body if you want the buzz. Oh - bring a spare key.“

“Large industrial room with fussball, pool, giant screen, lots of comfy couches, etc. This is the bar where Taura brews are served, but it mostly feels like a place where hang out to party in the evening. The place was dead when we visited around lunchtime. There are better places in Panevezys beer-wise, but if you feel like hanging out, this might be fun.“

“A little gem of a bar owned by Piniava Alutis. Their wonderful Seklycios is on tap here, alongside 2 other of their brews. The atmosphere is very homey, with wooden logs all around and people spontaneously singing, clapping, etc. A great relatively new place which is perfect to showcase Piniava Alutis beers.“
