72 /100 Fox Hole (Bar) CARLBURY Visited on a trip north as well place only a few minutes off the A1. Only a couple of cask beers when I visited and a few theakston beers on keg. More a gastropub an that’s just what we wanted on a sunny lunch time. Car park is small but we parked on the street. Nice sizeable beer garden. Dog friendly they even serve dog beer. Over all worth a visit if your passing or fancy a break from the monotony of the A1. |
74 /100 Fox Hole (Bar) CARLBURY Refurbished gastro pub in Piercebridge, just off the A67, County Durham. Tables & chairs seated area to the left & round the corner from main bar, to the right is through to dining tables with view into the kitchen and onto an outside beer garden with picnic tables. 8 handpulls with local real ales and 2 great quality ciders on for beer festival when visited, and the food was excellent. It’s also worth taking the short walk to see the roman ruins which are nearby. |
