Rhinelander Brewery (Beer Store)
43 S BROWN ST
“Seems to be the main taproom for the brewery, though, I think the production brewery may also be open (did not try myself). Friendly staff. 16ish beers on tap, including the Hodag line brewed here, and the main breweries brewed elsewhere. Got a flight. Lighter beers were good, hoppy and dark beers had serious flaw. Decent stop for ticks if you're already nearby.“

“Easily the best beer store in Rhinelander and probably the best in the Minocqua / Bear Creek / Rhinelander area. Staff was friendly. Prices a bit high but fair. Beer selection is kinda small. but it very well curated. Got some beers here I haven't seen elsewhere. Filled 2 sixers easy. Definitely stop here if you're nearby.“

Trig’s - Rhinelander (Grocery Store)
232 S. COURTNEY STREET
“1100th place rating! Stopped by last weekend. Cellar 70 location, as with all the Trig's. Probably one of the bigger stores. Lots of beers. meh singles selection. You might find some new ticks if you're not from Wisconsin.“

“Visited during a really slow day on Main Street in Rhinelander after Jess and I visited Brandon’s office. Sampled some beers and ate some lunch after our visited to the Rhinelander brewery down the street. Nice brown bar ambiance with a strange nautical theme. Food was mediocre in the restaurant but the beer selection was pretty impressive.“

Trig’s - Rhinelander (Grocery Store)
232 S. COURTNEY STREET
“Trig’s is a chain of 6 large supermarkets in northern Wisconsin - for the purposes of the beer geek, think of them as roughly the equivalent of Woodmans stores further south in the state. Each has a large, dedicated separate liquor department with a good-sized (particularly for the area) selection of craft beer, with a significant local focus. I visited this one most recently a year ago and will likely check it out again in a couple of weeks and update this comment. Lots of Surly, Rhinelander, New Glarus, Capital, Ale Asylum, Central Waters; relatively limited selection of imports as I remember. Some mix-a-six singles available; relatively low prices for the area though perhaps a tad higher than you’d pay in larger stores in the Madison or Milwaukee areas or the Twin Cities. I also reviewed the Eagle River store several years ago and have re-visited that one more recently; this store is significantly larger with more selection in most departments, including beer.“
