68 /100 Postgaarden (Beer Store) NEDERDAMMEN 36 Nice location. Easy to find. At our arrival a little past noon only a few people present in the two small rooms. We went to room no. 2, ordered beer and food from the kind, friendly and efficient young girls at the bar. Maybe their beer knowledge was not world class but we did in fact get both good food and beer. Price level surprisingly higher than expected. When I entered room no. 1 after having eaten people stood in line to get in. Both rooms were filled with guests in spite of the many tables. Bottle shop had beers from both local breweries, domestic breweries and breweries abroad. Sensible selection albeit not impressive. All in all a good experience. |
78 /100 Postgaarden (Beer Store) NEDERDAMMEN 36 After visiting the witchcraft museum, HEX, in Ribe, we had food and a couple of beers here. This independent place is located in the picturesque old part of town, and just about five minutes from the train station. Ten taps with a few beers from Ribe Brewery supported by English beers from Vocation and St Peter's, and a few Belgian ones at our stay. They also had eight bottled beers from the brewery in Ribe. To the right hand side of the entrance there was a decent bottle shop with quite a few British beers on cans and bottles, among others. I had an excellent Goulash soup for lunch. Family friendly place with a retro touch, and a bric-a-brac decor. Friendly service. Well worth a visit. (With Skinnyviking and Kira, 19.10.2021). |
78 /100 Postgaarden (Beer Store) NEDERDAMMEN 36 Very cozy small cafe/bar/shop/Bed and breakfast! Large ourdoor seetings. 10 taps and 20 bottles beer at the bar and apr 40 bottles in the shop. Some unusualy tap including new Rine Remise, Pohjola orange gose and Svendborgsund Hops and Pines. Also some nice belgians. Griedly staff, even when busy. OK prioces. Worth a stop. |
72 /100 VESTER VEDSTEDVEJ 64 Very far out in the country just between the winyards. Functions as a cafe/restaurant and food looked very nice. Also local delicatesses. As the name indicates in is a winery with production of Rondo, Solaris and more. The wines are very expensive. Also homemade spirits. Brewer (he is french!) also responsable for Christiansfeld brewery and he told me all production will move to Vester Vedsted soon. 2 Vester Vedsted beers and 3 Christiansfeld. Very cool place but expensive. Next time I will try the food. |
66 /100 Postgaarden (Beer Store) NEDERDAMMEN 36 The bottle shop has only 10-20 bottles, most of which are local Ribe Bryghus and some random Belgians including for some reason a Westvleteren. I had lunch at the cafe, so this rating is for the cafe. The cheese and sausage platter was fairly good and I had a Ribe Bryghus beer to go with it. The tap selection had two Ribe Bryghus, two Moor and a couple of Belgians in it. Go here if you need a decent but nowhere near great meal in Ribe to go with a good or local beer. We sat outside in the courtyard, which was great on a very hot summer day. |
40 /100 Postgaarden (Beer Store) NEDERDAMMEN 36 Located a couple of minutes’ walk from the cathedral, this place is essentially a café, with a small room housing the shop. The selection is nowhere near the 100 bottles mentioned here; I have found about 10, half of which contained the produce of Ribe Brughus. There are five taps in the dining room, and the selection is rather ransom: Carlsberg, Grimbergen, Ribe and, yes, Edge Brewing. I didn’t try any, just grabbed three bottles of Ribe (for more money than I had wished to spend) and left. Might be back one day for lunch. |
48 /100 Postgaarden (Beer Store) NEDERDAMMEN 36 Visited april 27th 2012. Where a bit disappointed by the small selection of beers, but the cafe and the outdoors area where cozy and definitely one of the places to have your beer, when in Ribe. OK tapselection. |
32 /100 Postgaarden (Beer Store) NEDERDAMMEN 36 More of a speciality store and cafe, than a beer store, the beers are hidden in the back, while the coffee etc. attracts all the attention in the front. The range of bottled beers are nowhere near 200 - I didn’t count, but don’t think they had 100 either. Though I found 3 I hadn’t had before, but my friends have been able to get them elsewhere, so nothing special selection wise. The service was not very pleasant, when I asked for the special beer only made for this place - I was given a story about a wrong beer - most turist in town probably would fall for it - but some don’t. I didn’t visit the cafe. |
78 /100 Postgaarden (Beer Store) NEDERDAMMEN 36 Good Selection of Bottles
Friendly service |
30 /100 Postgaarden (Beer Store) NEDERDAMMEN 36 The shop is nice, but the selection is limited, had all the Wintercoat and Ribe though. The owner is very, very rude - almost bit my head off when I asked, if he had an discount appointment for members of Dansk Ølentusiaster - a simple no would have been enough! Never again!! |
38 /100 Postgaarden (Beer Store) NEDERDAMMEN 36 Limited selection. Ok selection of belgian beers, but nothing special compared to other beerstores. Some danish micros but some were missing. Fanoe? Allmost no service. Too expensive on several beers. Visit a Kvickly or Lovbjerg supermarket instead. |
56 /100 Postgaarden (Beer Store) NEDERDAMMEN 36 Visited on a week day. I had hoped for much more than what I found. Rather limited choice compared to other beer stores. Despite that, they had a nice selection of Ølfabrikken despite being in the other end of the country. A fair Belgian selection and some other Danish micros. Next to the beer store is a cozy café (didn’t eat or drink), which had some 5-10 beers on tap - among them the latest additions from WinterCoat - nice! Service was rather non-existent - though I didn’t ask for help either. |
