“This place is trying its best to look quirky, but with all modern furnishings, including an older mail van with a table inside. Parking is a challenge, nearest car park is a 10-15 minute walk. Large interior in two main rooms. Food was glorified pub grub. Good service. Three beers on tap that server said they brew themselves, just down the road, in the Rivertown Brewery - in reality, I suspect that all three are McMullen Beers, which is fine, but confusing. Food is standard pub grub. OK.“

“Visited on 20th August 2016. Situated around 10 mins from the station and in the town centre this is a multi-roomed, multi level Spoons. The decor is nice and fresh, place was busy without being packed on a Saturday evening. Beer range wasn’t too spectacular but did have a White Park beer on cask amidst the usual range of Spoons offerings. Prices good and service decent. Probably not a bad stop off if you happen to be in Royston but wouldn’t be rushing back anytime soon.“

“Plush fusion of old and new in a lovely Georgian era brick building. It’s a split level open plan affair with defined areas to sit in due to plenty of walls within the establishment. There’s a preference for modern art that works well alongside the buildings historic features. The bar on the left as you walk in is perhaps the most modern looking addition to the pub and stocks ales on two rows of pumps. There’s a pleasant outdoor area at the rear but it looks out onto the large public car park that serves the affluent town.“
