“It was the end of June, so beer was served in the courtyard with shade provided by trees and canopies. Tables with benches and a few chairs provided the seating. Lots of bottles and four taps. I just drank the River Session IPA. It was very good. The barman was knowledgeable and helpful and spoke good English. Food was served. There is a menu of cooked and cold dishes, either for an individual or for sharing. Fried potatoes seemed a popular choice with a variety of sauces, with cheese, or bacon ir just plain when I was there. It is located in a back street parallel to one of the main shopping streets radiating out from Liberty Square. “

“Nice place close to the main square in Russe. We came here on a Saturday evening just a bit before 6pm. They have a nice pato / garden area. I would say at least 10 to 15 tables. At the time we arrived there were about 2-3 tables occupied. But after 7pm it filled up pretty quick. They have two pages of beers (maybe 50-60 beers total). 4 beer on tap. I would say about 10 to 15 of these were bulgarian, 4-5 different breweries. Also the local one (Dunav). They had 5 beers by Beer Bastards, we had one of them and it was really good. The Beer Bastards beer seemed pretty fresh, it had a BB date that was 11 months in the future, so if they bottle it one year before the BB date the beer would have been 1 month old, which seems very good to me. The Dunav beer we had was a lot closer to BB date. They have a bar outside, and the beers are also stored in a fridge outside. Its shady there but the beers probably still get quite a bit of light. The beer menu was only in bulgarian alphabet (looks similar to cyrillic). I asked the waitress if she could explain the styles of bulgarian beers, but she couldnt, although they were even written on the menu, just not in a way that i could understand. Overall english spoken was good enough though. Service was friendly. We also had food which was quite good. They have a few pizzas, some (grilled) meat options and some salads, veggie options are pizza and salad, and some side dishes. Beer focus seems to be mainly on IPAs and hoppy stuff. They also had a Lager (Hills Pils) on tap, which also was super hoppy though. Only one stout by Monyo. 2-3 sours. International breweries are Monyo, Pinta, Pöhjala (ipas only), .. and some czech lagers. Prices range from 6 lew (for the local beers) up to 8 or 9 for the foreigners. Overall really liked the place, do not have a comparison if there are better places in Russe, but from my short reasarch it seems like there are not..“

“Great service in a clean customer-friendly environment, Dean has a huge knowledge of craft beers, especially the ones in stock and even understands and speaks some English, over 150 products to choose from, but limited food unless there is a tasting - usually held every two weeks. You can drink craft beer on the premises at shop prices and what's not to like about that? Best beer shop in Northern Bulgaria and definitely the best place to drink beer in Ruse.“
