88 /100 10 RUE DE L'INDUSTRIE Visited on April 27, 2024, in early afternoon. Located just outside of the heart of Sainte-Mélanie, off Route 348, 18 km (11 miles) north of the original brewpub in downtown Joliette. This brewery and bottle/can shop is best known for its english styles ales, is a much larger scale than the one in Joliette, for canning (and sometimes bottling), with a tap room and patio. It is a new building for this purpose, so it has a modern feel to it. The tap room is much smaller, although the one in Joliette is more a pub and restaurant. Being in a more wooded area, the patio is quiet (except for a few big trucks passing by). The food menu is far more limited, but they have a wood oven for pizza. Beer wise, unless you already know them, Albion does make top notch brews, especially the English style. Great place for a beer stop for the recreo tourist! |
78 /100 10 RUE DE L'INDUSTRIE This is for the Albion main brewery in Ste Mélanie. Beautiful little place, modern industrial building, cozy taproom, excellent service, pizza and snacks. Flight of 4 for 13 to 15$ depending on beer. A nice détour. |
