“very nice spacious downtown location. 15 taps, including a nice barrel aged stout. Barrels in the back. 1/3 brewery fermenters, etc. 4 pack of 16oz can mix pack for $20. Well worth a visit to beautiful San Rafael and Pond Farm. Excellent quality beers.“

“Nice large beer, wine, and liquor store in San Rafael. Close to a couple Of breweries and beautiful Marin bay coastline. Around 8 refrigerator doors with a wide selection of craft beers.25 varieties per door. Almost everything in large format. I didn’t ask if they could be separated.“

“Typical 2022 Whole Food. Great food. Higher prices. Great cheese. Beer selection is small, but good. All large format bottles, or 6 packs. Pliny the Elder, local IPAs, henhouse, etc.“

“Visited October 2019. Newish brewery in downtown San Rafael. I had a sense of deja vu upon walking in and that's because this spot used to be Broken Drum. Fortunately, this place is significantly better. Kind of a mid-century modern style decor with dark wood and metal work being incorporated into the design. Food is what I guess you'd call "gastropub" style and I thought the burger I had for lunch was quite good. I also got a flight of beers and (as hinted at above) they were generally pretty good. They seem to be doing a variety of styles, but leaning towards hoppy stuff like everyone does. Definitely would come back if I happened to be in San Rafael again. But seeing as I've ever been here like 4 times in the nearly 25 years I've lived in the Bay Area, I don't know how soon that will be.“

“Visited October 2019. Had to visit San Rafael for work and decided to hit a couple of the beer places in town since I don't make it up this way that often. The brewery is a little bit outside the main downtown area, but a short drive from wherever you might be in town. Parking seemed to be the main obstacle, but I was able to find a spot on the street nearby. Not too many patrons on a weekday afternoon, but a few other people hanging out. I took a seat at the bar. Really huge place with a nice open feeling to it. I ordered a handful of taster pours since I had not had anything from these guys before. I thought the beers were generally pretty good, though there was one miss of the five I tried. Service was friendly and attentive and pricing seemed generally on par with the Bay Area with pints maybe being on the cheaper side (around $6 or $7) and tasters being kind of expensive (around $3). A nice little stop.“

“Just off of the freeway but outside of the main downtown area. Kind of a small store and parking lot. Beer selection isn’t much, but there were some decent beers there. Firestone XVII, Double DBA, some Mikkeller stuff, lots of Rogue, Heretic, Stone, etc. Some imports as well. Not a bad little store.“

“tiny packed cali whole foods. good selection including dfh 90 min ipa and soke other goodies with a selection that changes weekly. most of the staff don’t know anything about beer. bad light contamination on bottles like most whole foods. staff is freindly though and it can save you a trip if you just want some decent brew with dinner.“
