“In the bar at the hotel you can get Ryfylke Fjordsider (only the 4.7% version is brewed here, the 8.6% version is brewed at Lilland Bryggerihotell), you can also get all the beers from Lilland Bryggerihotell. Some macro beers are also available. Friendly staff, good food in the restaurant.“

Vinmonopolet Suldal (Beer Store)

“Very small bottle shop in a really small and cousy village in the middle of a fjord Lovely view at least if you have a lunsj at the pier You will probably not at all find something interesting at Vinmonopolet. But the next one is far away. So take what you get. You might find a tick or two at Coop grocery store next door “

“One of these places you have to visit Very small hmmm I do not know what to call it. Activity centre is mentioned. A place for fish tourists…. You do not see the place from the main road. Very nice when you get there Normally 2 or3 of their own beer on tap. Friendly and nice brewer that gladly show yoy the brewery and tell you about the place. Just be sure you are there before 23 o clock in the evening….. “

Vinmonopolet Suldal (Beer Store)
GATA 5
“A Vinmonopolet category 1 store (very basic), located next door to Coop Extra at the quayside, the adress "Gata" (The Street) gives you an idea how big the seaside village Sand is. Do not expect more than 25 beers beers and ciders (all above 4.75%) here, but most of them will be among the best you can get in Suldal kommune, so you take what you can get. Open only 3 days a week. The nearest alternative is Sauda. The staff (1 lady) is friendly. (If you want to stock up on grocery store strength beers too while at Sand, Coop Extra is not the best option - you'd better go to Bunnpris, a bit further away.)“

“On a farm / guesthouse / activity centre by the river Suldalslågen, ca. 3 km from the small seaside village of Sand, where the passenger ferry / express boat from Stavanger arrives. Normally 2-3 of their own beers on tap in the bar, + a macro pilsener. Guided tours of the very small brewery (with tasting samples) available for groups. Friendly owner.“
