62 /100 9100 BAYTOWNE AVE NORTH August 2009 - Hidden away in the the heart of the worst beer regions in the country, Lumpy’s was a surprise find within the Baytowne enclave of Sandestin. Although focused on wine, Lumpy’s had a very welcoming cooler of quality beers to rescue an otherwise barren beer landscape dominated by Coors Light, where Yeungling is considered haute cuisine. Thank you, Lumpy’s, for the Corsendonk and Brooklyn 1, Dogfish 90-minute, Chimay and other good beers to save me from utter depression. Cute and friendly bar maiden, too. I liked arguing beer versus wine with her. Smoked a nice cigar on the patio and watched the tourons, too. Guess they have some light food to offer, but didn’t try any. |
