74 /100 Micro Bar and Bed (Bar) AÐALGATA 19 It has a little bit of a dive bar feel, pushing beer to get drunk and not quite mopping all the spilled beer off the floor from the previous night. For all that, there were a fair number of taps. My 6 beer tour was, unfortunately, underwhelming. I ended up getting mostly IPAs (was looking for porters and stouts), and none I really liked, as most of them had lost the hop aroma and retained the bitter. Still, they’re trying, and they might have something that Skuli and Mikkeller don’t. |
80 /100 Micro Bar and Bed (Bar) AÐALGATA 19 Stumbled upon this place while touring Iceland. Quite surprised to see a high quality bar in a small town far away from Reykjavik. Cosy bar with dimmed music, board games and comfy sofas. Nice and welcoming service from the barmaid, that even convinced my girlfriend to have a beer - a job well done! Selection is broad and there are some good bottled offerings as well. Would you expect to find Lambiek in rural Iceland? This is the place! Well recommended for your trip in Northern Iceland |
68 /100 Micro Bar and Bed (Bar) AÐALGATA 19 A really really nice bar in the middle of Sauðárkrókur. Great selection |
94 /100 Micro Bar and Bed (Bar) AÐALGATA 19 Really special place. Fantastic in looks, warm and cozy. It is owned by Gæðingur so regular taps from them and a very grand bottle selection. Like this location more than the Reykjavik one. Really really nice! |
74 /100 vinbúðin Sauðárkróki (Beer Store) SMÁRAGRUND 2 This is a part of the governmental alcohol stores that are all around Iceland. This one probably the best rural store for beer lovers. Better selection than usual and the staff know quite a lot about beer. The price is decided by the government and is probably high for most people that are not Norwegian |
