| 60 /100 HAUPTSTRASSE 4 “This charming place is located in the middle of the beautiful rural scenery of Holstein, far away from the urban noise. The madding crowd was there, though, as I visited the place on a sunny Pentecost Sunday, and the inn hosted a Pentecost flea market. The interior is rather old-fashioned, with wooden furniture and massive, white tablecloth. The staff were very busy, but friendly. sadly, there were only two beers to be had, the Helles and the rather light-coloured Dunkles, but they were not bad. The food was typical German and tasteful, especially the dessert (I had the rote Grütze). Reasonably cheap and welcoming. I migt be back one day.“ |

Quite outdated interior, and rather ordinary beers, but it was calming sitting outside with a beer or two, just staring at the fields and trees in the area.“ |

The walls are orange - reminiscent of the 70’s, while the doors and wood are painted in the style of the old days, carpeted floor, tablecloth on tables, and light wooden chairs. The service was very friendly and informative about the beers. They have 2 draft beers and 2 different beers bottled for take away - the draft beers can also be bought for take away in 1 liter bottles. They have a few seasonal beers, Weizen in summer and Christmas beer - and maybe more. Prices are reasonable EUR 2,20 for a small draft beer and EUR 9 for a huge pork steak - solid German food.“ |
