“Seems to no longer be smoking. Fun place, nice owner, good selection of bottles and taps. The mixed sausage place was excellent.“

“This was by far my favorite beer place in Sendai. Best tap selection for sure. Apparently a chain, but whatever, it worked. Sat at the bar and worked my way through about a half dozen half pours over a couple of hours. Bartender attentive. Perhaps poured with a little too much head, but otherwise no issues. Recommended.“

“As noted, Italian restaurant with a good beer selection. Quite busy on a Thursday evening. We made it clear that we were there for beer only, but they seated us without a blink. Decent craft selection, mostly Japanese beers.“

“Not busy at all on a Wednesday night. Friendly staff, minimal English. There is a cover charge buried in the mini-appetizer you get with your first beer. Perhaps 20 of the 32 taps were occupied when we were there, all with Belgian beers. There were also a number of bottles, but the list was scattered all over the place. A fair bit of Evil Twin. Menu was heavy on meat, but we did not give it a try. Nothing wrong with the place, but not super inspiring.“

“Oldest specialty beer bar in Sendai, all Belgian. 4 taps were a couple uninteresting ones and a couple rarities. Bottle list is quite long, with a few expensive rarities like Walnut Lambic, and a lot of stuff you have seen. Owner knows his stuff and is a great guy. Prices are typical Belgian for Japan, taps more reasonable than bottles. ¥300 charge got us a lovely ham sandwich. Fun hangout for beer nuts in Sendai, but probably won’t be so appealing for non-Japanese speakers from abroad who want to try local beers.“

“Quite shocked by the tap list, which was half crap but also included lots of Rulles and even De Ranke XXX! Staff was lame, messed up our order and could not keep the beers in the tasting set clear. Prices are what you would expect for Belgian beer in Japan. Table charge. Food is meat-centered and looks good but pricy. A good option near the station. Nice that they have 3- and 4- beer tasting sets from the taps. Bottle list rather uninspired compared to the Tokyo places.“

“Nice Italian restaurant with craft beer, near the station. Good selection of beers included well-known J craft along with some lesser-seen beers from the Tohoku area, which was nice. Wait staff knew little about beer, but overall good.“

“Probably the best choice in Sendai for the combination of selection and value. Lots of beers on tap for pretty good prices. Compares favorably to many of the Tokyo-area CBM branches. Went twice, found lots to like.“

“Same thing, different city. Very reminiscent of the Tokyo Deliriums atmosphere and decor wise. On the ground floor of the Parco 2 shopping centre. The pin on the map shows the location of the front of the centre and this place is at the back. 32 taps of Belgian beer, mostly run of the mill, but with some good stuff in there too. Usual pricing, ¥300 cover charge, no smoking.“

“Fun place. Unfortunately it’s smoking friendly and quite small so you’ll need a shower afterwards but it was still fun. Had two special beers on for their 8th anniversary so you can see that they’ve been around a while. Very friendly master who likes to chat. Glad to go somewhere in Sendai that is not a chain. Will definitely go back.“

“Much better than the one in Yokohama. Nice place to pop in for lunch. Pouring was fine unlike Yokohama. Beer selection was decent, food nice. Not sure how it gets in the evening, but it’s a nice comfortable place to have a few drinks.“

“It’s another Craft Beer Market. If you been to one, you probably know what to expect. This one has a seafood theme to the food. Usual kind of taps. Wish they had some local flavour in the beers, but guess it’s a big company. Fairly lively and open very late. Seems a little different to the others in this respect but from food, drink and service points of view, it’s pretty much the same.“
