76 /100 ROUTE DE ROUGEMONT 15 I am very glad that Mickael of Mont Salève told me about this little brewer, because I wouldn’t have missed it for vairous reasons. It’s just over the French border in an adorable small village. The place itself is basically a garage with an old cellar. We were greeted with a choice of 4 (3 on tap) of their lagers to try. All of them are very characterful and tasty, yet drinkable and accessible as their lager styles (vienna, bohemian pilsner, rousse and Swartz) should be. They found out about constant and dry hopping too, further making these beers a real treat! Very characteristic are the big growler-like bottles that they sell their beers in. Since this uses a deposit system of (if I remember correctly) 6,5 euro per bottle, bringing them back home is an expensive exercise. If you are unsure what you bought/tasted, be sure to check their brew log on the website! |
