“Utterly lovely place…as someone below here says….in the middle of nowhere.
it is difficult to give this place a fair rating. Because the beer selection is really limited. But it is still a great place for beer enthusiasts. 3 of their own beer on tap and bottles at my visit. Just started up at my visit. So it will probably be more beer available after a while.
If you want to buy some bottles, you can just call them. Very friendly and helpful staff. They will meet you at the pub if they are in the area.
Food selection will also improve. They are building a new kitchen at the moment (2018). So you do not have to buy the traditional Norwegian Grandiosa.
The nature around here is also well worth a view.
So if you are in this area of the world. Just take a brake and visit this place!“

“Three comrades who work off shore and have been brewing for a while, decided to start a brewpub in Tonstad. The small town needed a pub. I wish them good luck and hope the locals supports this brewpub! Soon they will open earlier on Fridays offering bottles to go. Maybe we will find B20 bottles in local grocery stores too? Time will show. I enjoyed my stay, tried two beers from tap and purchased some bottles to bring home. Very friendly service and dirt cheap beer on tap, by Norwegian standards! I hope I can try some stronger beers from B20 in the near future. (Visited August 24th 2018 with Gunnar)“

“A brewpub in the middle of nowhere (almost), Tonstad have about 900 inhabitants, 2-3 of these works at this small brewpub, located in a former bank building in the centre of Tonstad. Big square local, with the bar to the left as you enter. 3 of their own beers on tap, 65,- for 0,4 liter is almost a steal. You ´can also get Hansa pilsner on tap. Food is available, you can get your pizza Grandiosa (Norwegian traditional meal) for 80,- Seating area is like a cafe, with small tables, seating 65. There will be a patio in the backyard, overlooking Sirdalsvannet and a Baptist church, next year. Beers was bland, the pilsner a bit raw, the brown ale (apa) good hoppy. Well worth a visit, if you can fit in with the strange opening times. Fri and saturdays 20-02 , in even week numbers only. (Visited with Bryne 24/8)“
