74 /100 CESTA NA HUDO 23, KOVOR Since I visited in the middle of the winter, I contacted Gregor a day in advance to ask if the shop was open. He said Of course. it's in a residential neighborhood in a picturesque small town embraced by the mountains; if you see a modern basketball court, you're in the right place. When I arrived Gregor was cooking some barley, and I asked what part of the brewing process this was. He said no, he's just preparing food for the hogs. His primary job is as an organic farmer, the beer is a sielinbe. he had three when I passed by - a light lager, a pale ale and a doppelbock. The shop also had various insundry items like pasta, jams & preserves - probably in greater abundance in the summer. Cool spot, nice owner, solid experience. |
64 /100 CESTA NA HUDO 23, KOVOR Or 'Glamping Organic Farm Slibar', at which we stayed two nights in August 2018. Up until now, the (modest and amiable) owner has made 9 beers, but because his output isn't that large I only got to taste 3 of them. I particularly liked Franz Josef, the Dunkler Bock. Is it worth seeking out? If you're in the area and you call yourself a beer hunter, you'll definitely have some hard-to-find stuff in hands. |
48 /100 CESTA NA HUDO 23, KOVOR A small store is part of the larg eco farm grounds. They offer their home made products, which also includes (so far) 3 varieties of beer - advertised as first Slovenian bio beer. Nothing special here, but it’s not far from the highway, so you may just stop by to pick up some decent beer. |
