50 /100 The Birra - Ushuaia (Bar) ROCA 63 Strange place - cafe is upstairs and you are expected to order by QR code (so low marks for service) which I don't do, so went downstairs and pointed at a bottle. Communication was a bit complicated but the young lady serving was very pleasant and we got there in the end. The beer (a local triple IPA) was excellent and fairly priced. Worth a look if in town. |

84 /100 The Birra - Ushuaia (Bar) ROCA 63 Visited 26/12/2018. Very close to the port terminal, really enjoyed my visit here. Opened about 18 months ago. Friendly English speaking member of staff was very helpful. The building is narrow but long, with the downstairs having bottle shelves all along the left side and 6 fridges and a small bar on the right, with a small kitchen at the back. Local beers from Beagle on tap and almost the complete range from Cape Horn in bottles were the highlight, but a few other Argentine beers were also available along with a selection of Belgian, Dutch, German beers amongst others. The upstairs is laid out for drinking in. Both upstairs and downstairs are really nicely designed. One of my place visit highlights on this trip. |
70 /100 Dublin (Bar) 9 DE JULIO 168 The top bar in the town at the end of the world. Said to sell about half the output of the local Fuegian Beverage Co brewery (Beagle & Cape Horn ales). Spotted another down the hill on the way to the harbour selling beers from larger foreign brewers, including European. |
