“We cycled here Sunday 18th October 2020. Wartenberg is in a rural location and so either car, cycle or walk are probably the best options to reach here, though Erding which is on the S-Bahn (at the end of the line) and then a 501 bus will get you here or quicker still a regional train from HbF to Moosburg and a 501/502 bus. The Gasthof and Brauerei are located in the centre of the village a car park sits to the side. The Gasthof is quite large and inside very traditional. Staff were also traditional in terms of clothing. It was relatively quiet with one older couple and a young couple with a baby, there were some other folk nearer the bar but we were slightly separate from them as a wall stacked with logs for fuel sort of created two separate rooms. The toilets were downstairs and some further rooms were off to the side, including as a recall a room with a pool table. Beer was fine, we had Hefe-Weisse and Dunkel Weisse, both were good in appearance but quite average in comparison to others, however at €2.90 each it was much cheaper than most places. It was quiet and lacked a little atmosphere and whilst staff were pleasant they never showed any great interest or engaged with us in conversation, perhaps COVID-19 plays a part? In respect of COVID-19 spacing and adherence to rules and regulations was very good here. It's fine here but I am likely to be trying others venues before considering a re-visit.“

“brewery and Gasthof in Wartenberg’s high street. They also sell their bottles beers, just ask the friendly staff. If you’re in the area and want to try their beers this is the place to go.“
