54 /100 127 N. BROADWAY Stopped by when Watertown’s other brewery closed earlier than expected. Wanted to get some food, but they closed their kitchen early. Even so, the service was good and they had soccer on. Beers were substandard. |
46 /100 127 N. BROADWAY This place was more of a large restaurant, although brewing equipment (7 barrel system?) is visible next to the small corner bar. Everyone else at the bar, staff included, were drinking Miller Lite or hard liquor, so that tells you all you need to know. Flights of five of their beers (which covered everything they had) were six bucks. Dirty glassware. None of the beers were drinkable. I didn’t eat, but food would be the main reason to come here. Service was very pleasant and friendly. |
64 /100 127 N. BROADWAY A tired pub with an old Irish theme. A little haphazard but comfortable. Service was nice enough, but not beer centric, their beer is cheap and very ordinary. Nothing good, nor anything really bad. Food is pub fair, which is a bit pricy for what you get but of a reasonable quality. Need local ticks, not bad if you are driving by. |
30 /100 Discount Liquors (Beer Store) 125 9TH AVE. SE Smallish beer store right on Hwy 212. A few singles, but I did see bombers of Mirror Mirror and Brau Brothers Rye Wyne. Also 6-packs of 3 different Crow Peak beers (Cream Ale, Porter, IPA) for those seeking SD ticks. |
60 /100 127 N. BROADWAY Nice spot! Cool vibe inside. Flights of 5 for $6 - awesome. Free parking. Didn’t eat but the food looked pretty good. Beers are pretty bad but fine for SD ticks :) |
16 /100 127 N. BROADWAY The beer was undrinkable. Three of us ordered samplers and we could not drink any of them. Sour and infected with bacteria................ |
82 /100 127 N. BROADWAY Visited on a Friday night around 9 PM. Place was located on an off-street. From the outside, the building wasn’t much to look at. Gravel parking lot and just a plain looking building. Inside, the place looked nice enough, with flags hanging down from the ceiling. Band was playing, and it wasn’t too loud like it can be sometimes. Food was decent bar food. Service was really good, as our waitress was friendly, prompt, and even gave our group a free round plus a shot. Beers were all decent beers. Nothing outstanding, but nothing that was undrinkable. Maybe not worth the trip just for the beer, but worth a stop if in the vicinity. |
52 /100 127 N. BROADWAY Stopped here in late September 2007, my previous visit was a few years prior, so I kind of knew what to expect. Good service, decent food, and so-so beer. I had the beer sampler, and was really wanting to like something, but I have to be honest, every beer was flawed in some form or another. Mostly the beers tasted old and/or stale. The best was probably the stout, but I think that was because there is enough roasted barley in it to hide the flaws. I had the ribs which were ok. Sauce was great, but the meat was a bit tough and stringy. However, the place was absolutely packed, so they must be doing something right. I brought a growler in hopes of having it filled, but ended up leaving with it empty. Next time I’m back that way, I’ll give them another shot. |
