“Near empty basement location on a Saturday night, had a couple of flights with a couple of pretty good beers and several that were flavored up stuff. If you like that type of beer you, will like it more than I do.“

“Right in the heart of downtown, so you might have trouble parking depending on when you come. I visited on a Sunday afternoon when downtown was dead. Kind of rough, unkempt interior. They do $8 flights of 4 on Sundays, which is a good deal. Lots of taps, including many sours, but they're the kind of gimmicky, unserious ones that aren't very elegant. Wasn't really a fan of any of the beers I tried. Decent service. Worth a look if in town.“

“This was my favourite of the Windsor breweries I visited. Nice little place, with upstairs seating in addition to the fairly small downstairs. Only 6 beers on tap, with flights of 4 avaiable for $12 or so, a little pricey given the beers. Good quality beers, especially the breakfast stout and hazy IPA that I had. Decent service. Worth visiting when in town for sure.“

“Cute little place just off the main road leading to the MI border. They had 6 taps when I visited, with flights of 4 for $8 after tax. Beers are competent, though nothing special. Everything was dialled in correctly, but lacked ambition. Super friendly female bartender -- couldn't have asked for better service. Worth a stop when in Windsor.“

“Likely the most interesting spot in Windsor right now. Tons of taps, great service and solid beers. Fun with tons of styles and old console games if you are in the mood. Not the nicest looking place but definitely a tickers must stop.“

“A dark tavern that actually has tons of windows, this is just done on purpose and does it no favors. A reasonable amount of taps, but half are macro and most are local Ontario generic craft. Nothing likely exciting, but with the lack of craft beer bars this ranks highly for the area. Just go to a brewery, there happens to be one across the street.“

“A really nice old building conversion that is rustic but comfortable. Staff is pleasant but not beer focused. Flights and 8 beers on tap with flights available. Sandwich is the area so don’t expect a good sandwich, they are all about charcuterie, beer was pretty good for the area making it a nice stop.“

“Friday evening g is packed, in this converted house. Only 3 beers and no flights but you can try everything. Beers are solid and reasonably well priced, just not lots to tick.“

“I was there during their trivia night so it my not be fair. I was yelled at for where I sat, told no flights during events although there was no line at the bar. Plastic cups for events, even though it was inside. Just stupid and beer was poor. It is a local on the same level as a legion. Pass.“

“A cozy little brick building. Nice staff, decent amount of beers on tap of decent quality and flights. Solid little spot. Food is a pop up outside.“

“Nice small-ish music venue, smallish but decent tap list. Staff was super friendly. Nice spot but the tap list ist not exactly extensive so I'd probably only go if I was looking to hear the music.“

“2018-04-28. Relatively spartan but comfortable industrial park unit with some nice tables set up, brick walls. We tried five of the six taps and the IPA was probably the only one I would want more of which is disappointing. Some of the others showed tangy malt undercurrents that I assume are not on purpose. In fairness this was our last stop of the day and my patience was waning but the beer still didn't make a great first impression. Server was fine. Food is limited to chips and snacks I think but we didn't ask. Got quite busy as we were leaving. Okay, worth a visit if you are in the area. “

“2018-04-28. Interesting space, the decor gives me the impression of Italian restaurant (partly because of the checked table clothes?) meets reclaimed house / warehouse. Three beers on today are okay. The Maple is super interesting. We had a yummy Big Pretzel covered with bacon, cheese and BBQ mustard sauce as a snack. Friendly server. Worth a visit as part of a Windsor beer crawl. “

“2018-04-28. Basement bar is relatively bright in the day. It feels like an upscale university bar in many ways. Big video board menu, long communal tables and some smaller ones. Board games and a N64 game system in the corner with theatre seating for four. It is mix of busy and relaxed on a Saturday afternoon. No food but you can bring it in, the pizza place next door is supposedly excellent but not open yet today. They had 30 taps of their own beers on today in a good range of styles. Bartender is friendly enough and puts together a pretty interesting sampler when told it's our first visit. I found the beer tasty but a touch thinner than my preference, we went through a dozen and unfortunately the overall quality dropped off after the initial four. Definitely worth a visit but the beer experience was a bit of a mixed bag.“

“2018-04-28. Kind of a dark tavern style decor, decent tap list with Great Lakes and a mix of local craft. Friendly bartender. Pretty chill on a Saturday afternoon. Worth a stop as part of a mini-crawl with Sandwich Brewing and Rock Bottom, if for no other reason than the bus stops outside :)“

“2018-04-28. Big spot with a ton of seating 30 taps with a mix of Ontario craft and imports like Kronenbourg Delerium Tremens and Founders. Nothing too crazy but a decent tap list. The free bucket of peanuts was a nice touch. Exposed brick and a kitschy cool decor - taps are mounted in the form of a Shell gas pump and a boat motor. The bar stools have backs on them!!! Decent spot for our afternoon visit, I suspect it's pretty jam packed in the evenings. “

“2018-04-28. Gorgeous old building with nice brick walls and a ton of old wood, mix of table options, more seating up stairs. Brewhouse behind the bar extends up into the second floor. Staff was friendly and seemed to know the beers, and had some good suggestions for the rest of our beery tour of Windsor. Food limited to boards/snacks I believe. The beers are not super adventurous, but they are all solid takes on the styles and probably the most consistently good of any of the places we tried in Windsor. Would visit again.“

“Visited for dinner on a Wednesday night. Located near the bridge on a beat down street. The brewpub itself is a shiny new, comfortable brewpub. Design is natural wood and brick. Beer selection is 6 house beers. Food menu is a small cheese and charcuterie selection. Friendly service, very welcoming neighborhood feel. Small brewery is located right behind the bar. Seating is 8 seats at the bar with 4 or 5 high tops along the wall. 64 and 32 oz growlers to go. Flights available. Good spot to hit in Windsor.

76 = *** (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited after dinner on a Wednesday. Located in an underground spot in downtown Windsor. Parking available on nearby streets. Bar setting with long tables and seating at the bar up front. TVs showing the hockey game. Beer selection is an impressive list of 27 house beers available as 5 oz, 13 oz and 16 oz pours. Beer available to go as well as bottles, half and full growlers. Beers were well made.

70 = **½ (Locals should check it out, visitors with extended time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“"I have yet to be wowed by any craft brewery in Canada, and this place is no exception..." Ignore the pretentious borderline "racist" and inexperienced remarks of those above/below. Good and bad breweries can exist anywhere; borders are irrelevant. However, everything is subjective, yet there are more eloquent ways to say it without looking like a complete narrow minded individual. They have some solid products and the easy stout is fantastic. Don’t dismiss this brewery based on abstract feelings and the need to maintain an elitist image.“

“One block down from Phog Lounge in Windsor. Basement pub with a European feel to it. Was in on a Saturday night and it was about a third full, fairly chill. A number of beers on tap (20+), all made in house. Styles tend to be pedestrian or kitchy, but there were a few standouts. Cool staff and reasonably cheap. This should be THE place to go in Windsor.“

“This is a really cool nano not far from the Casino. They had three beers on tap, all relatively light. The Proper Lager is a good light, accessible beer for the masses, and they also had a pretty subtle Berliner Weisse and a lime flavored beer. The service was very attentive and the bartender was knowledgeable (and cute in a Betty Boop meets Tank Girl sort of way). They apparently had food but it did not seem to be a focus and may be new. If you need an excuse to get away from the tables, this is a great excursion to a neat little place.“

“Fantastic new bar which is a great addition to the Windsor craft beer scene. Food is excellent and the tap selections rotate regularly. And a great patio too! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to sample the best of Ontario Craft Beers!“

“I have yet to be wowed by any craft brewery in Canada, and this place is no exception. It’s essentially an old warehouse with a brewery, bar, and area for special events (they were setting up for a wedding while we were there.) They had four beers on tap: A lager, a "Kolsch-style ale," Indie Pale Ale (ostensibly an IPA) and rye ale. I tried the latter two, and came away unimpressed. Both tasted like homebrew. Reasonably decent homebrew, but homebrew, nonetheless. The IPA had zero nose and, while it had some hop bitterness, there was very little hop flavor. This is craft beer for someone who just doesn’t know any better, and I personally felt it was a waste of calories. That said, the place was selling a lot of growlers on a Saturday afternoon, so they seem to be doing well. Unfortunately, I think that may say more about Windsor’s beer drinkers than it does about Walkerville. It was a shame; I was really hoping to like the place, but I don’t think it would last six months if it were located on the other side of the Detroit river in Michigan, where the craft brew market is head and shoulders above Ontario’s.“

“Brewery in Walkerville open almost a year. Did the brewery tour which is $5 and includes tastes and a beer I think .375 l. The tasting room is in front of the production facility has a bar, tables, a tv. They are distributing kegs through bars no bottles. They brew big batches -120 barrels or 2000 liters. Because of that they had 3 beers on draft. An amber lager, a nice kolsch both good, and an ipa that came in at 55 IBUs, and was good. Nice work and should be on the to do list for Windsor craft beer fans.“

“Pub style restaurant in Walkerville right around the block from the Walkerville brewery. Sat out on the patio. Had fish and chips which were good. Beer list included some Irish and Scotch choices I hadn’t had and commercial swill. Decent place for dinner and a couple.“

“Always wanted to visit an Ontario Beer Store, and had an opportunity while in Dearborn for business. Knew before arriving it was just the basics of Canadian beers. That being said there was a decent selection of macros and craft like beer. In addition to cases, six and twelve packs you could buy single beers. For a Yank it was a novelty, for a Canuck there are probably better places to buy beer.“

“The LCBO is just a beer store. It is a place to go to buy macros, which we did to take to the casino for cheaper beer. They had a few craft beers but not many. This is a sad way to buy beer.“

“Went for dinner. had the burger. It arrived with moldy lettuce. Approached the owner Vito and asked him if it was acceptable. Replied that it was wilted despite having a black edge around the entire perimeter of the leaf. Asked him if he would eat it. Stated there was no problem with it. If your interested in food safety stay away! “

“I remember this place when it was the Eclectic Cafe. Bohemian clientele. This place is noted for bringing in good live bands. I was not disappointed. The Sunparlour Players and The Locusts Have No King put on engaging performances in the intimate setting. One of the owners (Frank), was tending bar, and proved to be a good host. There are 6 taps pouring Ontario micros, most were good, especially the Wellington Imperial Stout and F&M Stonehammer Pilsener. Could be great if the food menu were expanded beyond deep-fried.“

“This is an alternative cafe in downtown Windsor. Some hard to find Ontario micros have been offered such as Black Oak, Wellington and F&M. They have a kitchen, but I have not eaten there yet. Features live music from time to time and serves as a gallery for photography and paintings.“
