68 /100 Clothier’s Arms (JDW) (Bar) 56 HIGH STREET At the very top of the sloping hillside High Street adjoining the large Morrisons supermarket building. The pub is open plan but has several different areas to sit in on lots of these are on different levels - the highest of which is the outdoor patio area at the rear of the old stone-brick building. The bar is against the back right-hand side wall and includes two rows of real ale pumps and the usual bottle selection in the fridges behind the service area. All the guest ales apart from one were from breweries in the region. There’s a few nods to the local clothing industry in cases on the wall. The design of the pub fits in with the newer appearance the chain are going for and there’s lots of soft of the eye wood and soft light colours throughout. |
