Belyga (Bar)
OLEKSANDRIVS'KA STREET, 94,
“Interesting mish mash of pub club and restaurant, trying all 3 but struggling with all. 8 Beluga branded beers, plus a few multinationals. Possibly more beers in takeaway section in the basement. Superbly interesting fish van permanently situated at front door.“

“Three house beers on my visit, unfiltered light, dark both ok and one "flavoured with grass" not tried however. Pine clad country lodge style set at edge of small park. Will be good in summer.“

“Excellent beer bar, ONLY Ukrainian beer which is rare indeed. Menu for beer in English but for food not. Probably best pub in Zaporozhye.“

“Only place I could find decent beer in Zaporozhye. It’s a nice brewpub with very nice atmosphere and fermenting vessels in display so you can drink and enjoy while watching the brewmaster adjusting vessel temperatures. Ambiance is like a German beer hall and all beer served is their own. It’s not bad at all, they have a few varieties; Pale, Red and Dark, of course... along the usual 3 suspects they also have Honey beer and Klassicheskoe. The labels might be a bit off in the styling of the beer but they are really not bad. Compared to other Ukrainian and Russian brews which are offered in other restaurants this is pure gold. Food is also good but with room for improvement, I wouldn’t recommend any of the sausages since they leave much to be desired. If I remember correctly they have English menus but the staff is not proficient in English. Overall most of the places I’ve been in Ukraine have one brewpub like this and usually the beer is better than macro produced lagers along with nice food. But I wouldn’t quite compare the beer with some more memorable European brews...“
