“Visited on Monday evening, 13th November 2023 with Margie two friends (who live half a mile away) and two of their friends. Ate and drank. Gravity pour barrels in the back room, chalk board in the bar tells you what's on. Eight on our visit, five rates for me out of those eight. It's a multi roomed old traditional country Inn, basic and friendly with decent food and no music. Liked it.“

“I did not know it before the current crew took over during the COVID time but it is now a stonkingly excellent beer and food house with a decent garden, making the most of its olde worlde front bar with open fire. The cask ales are well-chosen and mostly local, kept in top order by using a brilliantly simple automatic cask-tilting mechanism. Many served straight from the cask.“

“Olde worlde stone built roadside pub a couple of miles outside Langport. Decent sized pub garden plus seating out front of pub. Around 7 or 8 well kept beers on cask plus a 2 or 3 ciders. Food is tasty. Pub has won a number of Camra awards over the years. Worth a visit if in the area“

“Visited June 2011. Multi award winning Roadside inn on the B3153. Eight real ales were on offer including a couple from both Moor (which, at that time, was nearby) and Teignworthy. Ciders included Wilkins and Lawrences, which I had never come across before. Food was tasty and good value and the staff were friendly. Well worth a visit.“
