“You just have to follow Hebden Bridge’s steepest hill to where the houses give way to farms to find this pub perched high above the town in the suburb of Wadsworth. This is a Timothy Taylor pub and has a good selection of its own ales behind the small bar which is in the centre of the main room. The decor is very relaxed and makes you feel like you are in someones living room. There’s one small offshoot area that is more conventional in its table set up. Food plays a big part in this pubs existence, and is only open in the evenings and all day Sunday. Outside there are picnic tables on both sides of the classic Yorkshire stone brick building that blends in well with the farms, and the rear has a raised patio section overlooking the two resident KuneKune pigs in the adjoining field. There is a car park here. Service is a little slow although this can be as much the customers fault as the pubs. it also has a dartboard.“
