54 /100 COVENTRY STREET,
“Long, narrow pub on the northern edge of the town centre, well maintained, clean and very popular in the town, particularly for food seemingly. It was a coaching inn back in the day and it seems to have maintained its top position in the town over the years. The beers are all from the old Scottish and Newcastle, now Heineken UK stable, but it did give the most varied beer choice in town surprisingly. The house beer is from Caledonian and seems to be a new generic 3.5% bitter for pubs. Best in Southam for us.“

28 /100 COVENTRY STREET,
“The best thing about this pub is the building itself, one of the few ancient building left in Southam, allegedly where King Charles I minted coins to pay his troops after the battle of Edge Hill. No real ales available on our visit, in fact no beers of any interest at all.“

50 /100 MARKET HILL
“Friendly community type pub on the southern end of the town centre at a busy junction. The pub is knocked through to a single unit but has 3 distinct seating areas, all unfortunately dominated by televisions geared up for Sky Sports. Extremely clean and welcoming, just nothing interesting on the beer front. The Landlord must be a Millwall supporter with one area being labelled Lions Den.“
