“The home of Holdens Brewery, which is now housed in an adjacent building, this is a pretty standard-looking neighbourhood pub that doesn't really suggest much of its brewing heritage, other than the painted lettering on the side. There is of course plenty of Holdens beers on tap, and the odd bit of framed Holdens posters and documents here and there, but otherwise it has a locals community pub feel. Good to try some traditional black country styles fresh on cask, and pretty cheap too.“

“Visited as part of the blackcountry brewpub tour with Travlr, Richthevillan and jmgreenuk. Brewery tap next door to the brewery. Modernish pub with 8 casks, most were from their core range which most who live in the area will have drunk and two seasonals. The condition of these wasn’t as good as expected from a brewery tap. Overall it’s ok.“

“Part of the Black Country pub crawl organized by SarkyNorthener, RichTheVillan and jmgreenuk. Decor is somewhat modernish, somewhat generic. Beers were also a bit generic, nothing too exciting. Worth a quick look.“

“Located just a short bus ride from Dudley, this is Holdens’ tap attached to the brewery. It’s a strange place, being clean and modern in outlook - like a family friendly type place, but with bits and pieces of geniune breweriana strewn here and there. Not inspiring decor and the beer is not very inspiring either. A selection of about 8 beers from Holdens’ range, including their 4 most well known efforts. If you like Holdens, you’ll enjoy this place, probably.“

“Classic Black country pub with the famous Holden’s brewery out the back, this down-to-earth boozer is a must-visit when around the area. Only serves the beers brewed here, but as they are some of the best examples of the rare "Black country" style of sweet bitters left this isn’t a problem!“
