“Located in a nice setting on a river bank just beneath the cliffs. Nice terrace overlooking the river in the back. Was quite crowded and finding the parking was a bit challenging although there is plenty of parking around. They had 3 beers on tap. Good hefe, but helles was buttery. Worth checking out.“

“We visited here Saturday 1st August 2020 we had cycled from Landgasthof Kastlhof Campingplatz but in the other direction, cycling well beyond Riedenburg and then come back along the Donau Kanal this way via a brief stop at the campsite. There doesn't appear to be any public transport options that I can see on Google Maps to get here but if you have a bike then I could strongly recommend cycling along the Donau Kanal. This is a great bar, restaurant and hotel in a very pretty little village. We sat on the sun terrace at the rear overlooking the water. social distancing, cleanliness, hygiene and a strict adherence to mask wearing was really good here, very impressed. The staff were super friendly and service was great. We had Hefe-Weisse and Marzen and both beers particularly the Hefe-Weisse were very good m it was a popular place and whilst we didn't eat here the menu looked good and a lot of folk were eating. This was my favourite place of the day and a great find, we picked up four beers to take away with us.“

“This is a cozy brewery-guesthouse nestled in a scenic spot along the gorgeous Altmuhltal. Cliffs and a castle tower overhead. The beers are good and you’re likely to meet Josef Schneider himself if you’re interested. We reckon that many have proclaimed him a hero upon seeing his little brewery, meeting the man himself, and seeing the spot he’s carved out in this beautiful place. The guesthouse rooms are spacious, and the dinner was fantastic. Can’t tell you exactly what I had, but there were morsels of pork swimming in a mushroom cream sauce. The pils was crisp, bitter and refreshing.“
