“Visited in June '23. Last stop before heading back to Bamberg. Sat outside on their enclosed patio. Met up with an expat couple we met earlier at Griess. Had a few very boring and even off beers, so that was our cue to leave and seek greener pastures. Nice location, cozy ambiance, but sub-par beers.“

“Located in the heart of the charming village of Roßdorf am Forst, this venue is like one of many such places in the area - a typical Oberfrankish brewpub, serving its own beer (2 taps, a few more bottles) and decent, hefty local food. Very friendly staff and a foreseeable, limited but decent selection. Yet another good pit-stop on the 13-Brauereien-Weg.“

“About as beautiful as any beer place can get. Braunbier and kellerbier served from gravity in good condition. Close to Griess keller. Dope“

“Came here just after opening time, grabbed a beer at the counter and sat outside on a sunny October's day. Place filled up gradually, mostly with local pensioners. The Kellerbier from the barrel is hoppy and rustic, the Braunbier from the bottle chewy and complex, very good stuff. Service is efficient, with all the family helping out, and prices are quite cheap. Easily combined with a visit to Geisfeld and Schammelsdorf.“

“Beautifully located and archetypal franconian "Keller" on the southern edge of Rossdorf; there's just only mistake, the Sauer beers are really not very moreish. Recommended just for beginners...“

“Beautiful place with lots of wood and tiles. Much friendlier than average for the area. Two amazing beers on gravity, one more in the bottle. Top class.“

“Really cozy and gemutlich place with some awesome beers which is amazing when served fresh from tap instead of a dusty bottle. Good Schnitzel and amazing Kellerbier from the wood. Close to Geisfeld and Bamberg!“

“Visited on 19/7/2012. This was a welcome stop on the walk from Buttenheim to Geisfeld. I sat in the typically Franconian, wood dominated bar, which was busy with local pensioners, workmen on their lunch break and a few English tourists. I enjoyed the Braun and Lagerbiers (at E2.00 each) and my plate of Zwetschgenbammes was truly excellent and great value at E5.00. The service was very good too. Hard to fault.“

“Beautiful little countryside brewery not too far from Bamberg. Their Keller is the real heartstopper, surrounded by cows, barns and in the shadow of huge trees. The brewery gasthaus is quite pleasant too, especially the summer terrace out front which allows you to gaze into sleepy, and quite photogenic, Rossdorf. The house brews can be excellent, especially their tap Lagerbier, bottled as Urbräu. Of course, the bottled version is not always as stunning, but the tap is perfection; a most süffig lager. All in all, this is one of my favorite brewery visits in Franconia. Quiet, quaint and quality all around.“

“Decent shaded garden patio and friendly service. Food was served through a salt shaker but otherwise a fine visit.“

“Nice franconian Gasthof in the center of a little village with a patio almost on the village square. A few steps away a larger beer-garden, called "Sauer-Keller" is also worth a visit. The beers are only average by franconian standards, but excellent by german standards............“

“Lovely patio. I liked the Urbräu which I’ve tasted there from tap. Friendly but a bit slow service. Parking space can be limited on busy days.“
