“We visited here Friday 5th August 2022 and wow what a find just 18km from home. This Biergarten sits about 4-5 km to the northeast of Moosburg, it is described as being in Wang, but Wang is mostly over the other side of the river (Amper and Isar rivers meet here) and in reality, about 2 km away, however, if it says Wang then Wang it is I guess. It is signposted off of the main road, it is on the right if you are coming from Wang/Mauren direction (from the west), also you could actually walk from Moosburg as the bridge straddles both the Isar and Amper rivers, with, in the middle of the bridge a footpath down to a spit of land that widens as it heads back to Moosburg, about 4-5km. There is a good-sized carpark, we parked overnight in the campervan and the Biergarten is ahead. We counted up the seating and reckoned that this Biergarten would comfortably seat about 500-600 when full. There is a small play area for the kids. The serving area consists of three interconnected huts with the beer area on the right and food, cold food (salads, etc) and food payment in the middle, and a grill area on the left for sausages, pork, and chicken, it was simple, and not proper dishes like Schnitzel, but very reasonably priced and tasted great. I didn't see a card machine but there may have been one, I needed to get rid of a €100 note which the atm had given me, despite me only wanting €90 grrrrr.... h yes btw the toilets were off to the right and side of the beer serving hut, The beers were limited to Helles, Weisse, and Dunkel and there may have been one more all €3.30 for 0.5l with a liter at €6.60. I have had the beers before and they're good with the Hefe-Weisse my favourite. The Biergarten seemed to be well used by locals, cyclists, and a fair few people who had driven here, there was a nice mixture of ages, sex, etc, it was a really nice vibe, very friendly, simple set-up and with all the bases covered. When the light started to fade, stings of lights in the tres were turned on and someone came around offering a further light for each occupied table. We really liked this place, the food (Loz had a Salad with Cold Meat, Emmental and a Pretzel, I had sausages with Sauerkraut and Bread, it was really good. I think that we will definitely be coming here again and hopefully before the Biergarten season is over for this year.“
