| 76 /100 The Restaurant at Hard Truth (Restaurant) 418 OLD STATE ROAD 46 “The 350-acre Hard Truth complex is a lot to digest, all of it good. There's the big restaurant serving the company's tasty Quaff On! (formerly Big Woods -- name changed to avoid trademark issues with other brewers elsewhere) beers along with its Hard Truth distilled alcohols (straight or in classic and unusual cocktails). The food menu has many sandwich, salad, appetizer and entree selections. None are cheap but the portions are generous and delicious. Then there's the adjoining Hard Truth tasting room, again to get your fill of the whiskeys, etc., that includes ATV tours of the property to talk through their very recent distilling history. Brewing is done elsewhere and a new Quaff On! taproom is weeks away from opening in downtown Nashville near the company's Big Woods pizza restaurant. One last note is the music amphitheater constructed just out the western doors of the Hard Truth restaurant. Like I said, a lot to digest.“ |

This place is in the middle of nowhere, but the draft selection is good and the service and prices are great ($4 pints of FFF and other good choices that are $2.75 from 3:00-5:00, at least during the week; not sure about weekends). We didn’t eat here, but I’ve heard good things. The atmosphere is cozy and matched our camping vibe. I’m very impressed.“ |

The food was amazing. Best burger I’ve had in quite awhile. My buddy had the Tenderloin, made from scratch. Excellent. Too big for him to finish so I had some of it too.
They had Two Brothers Hop Juice on tap, one of my favorites since I visited Two Brothers this spring.
Great place, nice and friendly. Excellent food.
