| 84 /100 Friar Tuck - Forsyth (Beer Store) 1085 S ROUTE 51 “Opened in fall of 2013. Maintains the largest selection of quality whiskey, beer, and wine in Decatur/Forsyth/Mt.Zion. Wine section might take up 1/4 area of the store. Large walk-in cooler at the back for the kegs, mega brewery case beer, and some of the craft/import/specialty beverages. They have a mix-a-six section like most places. Some home brew supplies.
Prices are reasonable but don't expect sales unless old stock or discontinued. Nearest similar liquor stores are over 40 miles away, with a couple of smaller local retailers in Decatur. I drove that 40+ miles to Springfield's Friar Tuck before they finally opened one much closer to me.“ |
