“Visited on a Tuesday afternoon. Brand new nano brewery. Check web site to see when they are open. Nice location out in the country. Will have event space open soon. 4 beers available on my visit. Looking forward to watching them grow.“

“It was a small hotel bar with limited tap offerings. The food buffet was good but the service was not the best.“

“This is a great place. Raise the rating please. High end place with an extensive beer selection. They had a few beers I had never seen. Food was good and reasonably priced if you order off the lunch menu. Service was attentive nad friendly. This was a huge surprise out in the ’burbs of KCK.“

“There are a ton of taps, but it’s not a very impressive selection of beer. They’ve managed to select just about every mainstream, generic beer available. On the expensive side. I liked the food more than the beer.“

Stadium Liquors (Beer Store)
5110 BRISTOL AVENUE
“Not too memorable. Basically, a strip mall, hole-in-the-wall liquor store with some craft beer, but mainly catering to cases of the all-American junk that passes for beer. Some wine, some liquor. Place also cashes checks. Service was practically nonexistent and the ambience left a lot to be desired.“

“Large restaurant with the bar located in the center of the floor plan. There is outdoor setting but we were there in the summer and only the smokers where out there. Good selection of tap beers and the food was good. Servers where friendly and helpful. It is a little bit pricey but not too bad.“

“Nice newer store in the Legends area. Have noticed that they are expanding their beer selection. Service and prices are good. Have helped me out on occasion by holding a beer (just for that day) until I could stop by. Selection still has a ways to go. Glad they are near where I live.“

“Village West just expaned all their selections! There is a more diverse selection of craft beer. They are adding to their beers weekely it seems. Everytime I go in there it seems there is atleast one new beer if not more. The build your own 6 pack cooler is amazing.“

“Have been here a few times as I only live a short distance away. They do advertise 100 taps, but since this is Kansas you will find nothing too exciting. Service is good, prices are high. They try, but miss the target.“

“What to say? Not much of a beer selection at all. The beer on tap is very average. Service was good, food was decent, and prices were fair. If you are looking for good beer you don’t need to visit here.“

“June 28, 2012 - In a cool area of town called the Legends, the Yard House seemed to be on par with the one I visited in Vegas. Had some nice outdoor seating, but at 100 degrees no one was out there. Two flight options that were pre-determined so good effort but come on they have too many taps not to offer a make your own option. They did offer Shortys (9 oz pours), which was good considering their high beer prices. Really good service and the lady knew her beer. They did blends, so I tried the Young’s Double Chocolate with Timmerman Framboise and it was pretty good. It is a Yard House so the music was pumping and sports were on TV, so life was good.“

“yet another yardhouse. this one does have some perks-boulevard tank 7 on tap, great food and really hot waitress’ everywhere! cant go wrong with that. my biggest complaint is that its way over priced and they dont even fill the beer up to the top. a decent place to stop if your in the area but not to go out of your way.“

“Visited on a Sunday afternoon. Decent crowd seated at the big oval bar in the center, surround by tables and booths. Had a pretty standard chain restaurant sports bar type setup. It was way too hot the day I visited, but they also had a large patio that sits in a busy traffic area of The Legends, which might be fun. There were a bunch of taps, not sure of the count but its likely in the 100 range. Despite the wide selection, there is nothing terribly unique; features all the normal American craft, macro as well as the more common imports on. I didn’t eat, but the food around me looked pretty solid. Service was friendly, offered samples, more than willing to switch out a keg that had blown. Overall, sort of a corporate version of a Barleys. I will likely only hit this place again if I am killing time out at the legends.“

“It’s a smallish store with limited selection, but they make the most out of it by offering things you don’t usually find in Kansas. (Can you say Lah-goo-neat-us?) Solid selection for the area. There’s better beer stores in KC, especially on the Missouri side, but in terms of where they are located and your other alternatives, it’s not bad at all.“

“I’ve been to several Granite Cities, and I’ve never come away impressed. The food can be a somewhat hit and miss, and the beer comes across as somewhat uninspired. It’s certainly a step up from the normal chain restaurant stuff, but there’s other places I would rather spend my money. The one redeeming factor is that they do put together a killer Sunday Brunch, so if you spend the night in Legends be sure to check it out.“

“I’ve been to other Yard Houses in other areas with better beer selections. Heck, there’s places in Kansas City proper that have more choices. Still, if you’re in the Legends area and you want a craft beer, the Yard House will be your best option. Sure the food’s a bit pretentious and the beer’s a little overpriced, but it beats the pants off of what else is in the area.“

“Relatively standard beer/liquor/wine store for size/quantity but they do have a nice eye for quality. If you find yourself in the Legends area, the raceway, Great Wolf Lodge, or the soccer/baseball stadiums this is your best spot for craft beer. Blew my mind away that they had Ballast Point.“

“Sure, they have 100 taps or so, but only a small handful of really good beers that would get one excited. Prices are fairly high, service is average, as is the atmosphere. In essence, not a place I frequent, especially since its not in my neck of the woods. I wouldn’t really recommend this as a stop for an out-of-towner unless you just happen to be right nearby.“

“I have been in here a few times, but only once had a beer. The other times were to look at the beers and to use the bathroom as The Legends lacks them. I hate to say, I walk in with 100 taps and have a hard time finding anything I really care to drink. The food has sky high prices. The atmosphere is sterile and contrived, in no way did it make me feel comfortable or relaxed. I just don’t get how a bar can have so many lame taps, they obviously don’t know or care about quality beer. Meh.“

“Likely not as diverse and plentiful in holdings as some other locations, the Kansas City version is noteworthy for having local selections and very helpful and effective bartenders. One tip: appetizers are half-price from 10pm until midnight. Scheduling a trip? You might want to pay attention to the nearby racetrack and Kansas City TBones minor league baseball schedules. We were there on a Friday when neither were in town, and there were plenty of available seats.“

“Not a place that I go for the beer. The aren’t really a brewery, just a fermenter. Wort is brewed at a central location and then shipped to the various stores for fermentation. I’m always amused when talking to the "brewmaster". Food is good, Service is standard for a chain bar/grill. Ambiance is sterile and boring.“

“Pretty good selection of beers that are available in Kansas. Crowded on a Friday night. I thought the food was pretty good. Definitely not just bar food. My wife had a porcini crusted halibut. The waiter informed us that porcini was a mushroom! I guess we are in Wyandotte county. Everything was pricey. $5.50 for a pint of 75th St. is pretty ridiculous, not so bad for a Hennepin. I also had a Delirium Tremens at $7. My server didn’t seem like he knew that much about beer. I asked him if there was anything not on the printed list (after I already had a beer at the bar that wasn’t on the list), and he informed me that they just had what was on the list. Then I proceeded to order a Hop Ottin from the list. Oops, they didn’t get any of that yet. If you are at the Legends, this would be a good choice compared to the other stuff out there, but I don’t know that I would go out of my way to come here.“

“A very large place in a consumer mecca of a mall. Seems bland and trite, decor wise. Plenty of drafts, but even a newbie to KC like me had very little new to try. Imports wise only the Maredsous 8 was anything close to special. Otherwise a lot of Free State, Goose Island, and New Belgium. Service was unimpressive and a bunch of taps were not working. Best part was actually the food. we had the two different Ahi Tuna salads and they were both great. I probably wont be back but its worth a stop if you are a the Mall and don’t want to go to the Granite City brewpub.“

“Wow, the first thing you notice is how clean this place is, and that fake super friendly let me act interested clone server / bartender act that you find at most chain restaurants. Exactly the same as any other Granite City that I have been too across the country. The beers were completely forgettable.“

“Visited on a Wednesday afternoon. The place itself is clean and nice, similar to a decent bar and grill. The beer selection is okay, as they serve their Granite City beers which are average. Service was pretty good, as the waitress was attentive and knew their beer script well. Value was about as expected, as the large draws were about $4 as was the sampler. Not a bad place, but pretty much the exact same as any other Granite City Food and Brewery that you’ll find.“

“Yep, only 4 beers, and I think one of them was a blend of the Maibock and Northern Light, for those who just can’t take a straight-up Maibock, apparently. Either way, I tried the Duke of Wellington IPA and the Brother Benedict’s Maibock and found the two eerily similar, not a positive thing for styles that are, or should be at opposite ends of a certain part of the beer spectrum. But, the wait wasn’t too long and the food certainly was tasty, if not a little on the pricey side. Inside features stone walls (appropriately enough) and a fairly bustling bar and staff. However, since I don’t live anywhere near this part of town, I can’t see going back at all since there are plenty of fine restaurants in and around my neighborhood. Either way it certainly wouldn’t be for the centrally-brewed, fermented-on-the-premises and uninspiring beers.“

“First I’d heard of this chain, but needed to see for myself. Of the 100 or so taps, they had the usual suspects along with an OK lineup of regionals and imports. But disappointingly they only had at the most 10 local small brewery offerings. The service started slow but got better ... the waitress didn’t know much about beer, but someone came over to answer questions pretty quickly. The food was above average ... just the standard burger fare ... but yummy. Worth a visit but don’t expect any hidden gems.“

“The slogan says ’Great Beer Classic Rock’. I can’t stress enough how painfully horribly bad the music was. I felt like I might have been overreacting, but it was the topic of conversation at many tables around us. Simply have to knock the ambiance for that. They also serve thier beer far too cold. A decent selection considering the lack of beers allowed in KS, but of the many taps, too many are macros, or all too common imports. Ssome Lost Coast is a plesant suprise. The service was subpar, but we were informed they were short a server, but the bar had 2 bartenders and needed more during an only decently busy dinner hour. The prices on beers and meals were through the roof by KS standards. Although the food was quite good.“

“Not bad at all. Went and it still had that brand new feel to it. Waitstaff was overly attentive (not likely to keep up). The beer selection wasn’t great, had 4 of thier own beers on tap, and I know they have macros in bottle, but not sure whatelse. The food was average. The soup was good to great, my pasta was decent to average (bland), and my girlfriends turkey wrap was standard. Beers were average.“
