“A modern restaurant (with a focus on burgers) in the site of the former Riegrovka Brewery (which was closed). They only have their beers (mostly just regular ones, rarely special), which are just in good quility (sometimes in worse), nothing really remarkable.“

“A traditional and typical old-school czech brewpub. The pub is furnished in the style of the begining of the 20th century. They have only their beers (mostly their 3 regular and very rarely a special).“

“A slightly strange (biker?) pub/bar with a very good selection of czech craft-beers on tap. The selection is not just regional but included beers from Bohemia as well. Definitely worth a visit when you spending time in the beautiful town of Olomouc.“

“A modern craft-beer bar located very close to on of the several historical squares of Olomouc. They have only beers from the Axiom Brewery located in Prostějov town (an another old historical town, 20 km SE from Olomouc). Good choice if you want to try Axiom beers, but there are much better beer places in Olomouc.“

“Another basement pub in Olomouc, but of course one of the best. Combo of classic and modern inside, 6 taps - which seems to be the norm around the town. You'll definitely find ticks here - a couple of Twinberg beers (11° lager and 9° hazy), Louka's 12° and Oatmeal stout, Pivečka's APA 12°,and the n/a IPA from Nachmelená Opice. Nothing heavy, easy drinking, but I see their selection can be more daring, of course, and the rotation is heavy - must really be a boon to the locals. Not far from the train station, a great place to get a last one or few before the last train. To be rerated more in-depth next time.“

“Almost next door to Pivní ráj, and with some business connection at least, Los Bastardos is definitely one of the must-visit places in town. While I don't recall that wide of a beer selection in fridges, it could be due to a memory lapse - my pics confirm a solid fruit/pastry selection in cans at least. Darker insides, not the fanciest place inside, good service. Polička sign outside, none on tap - Litovel's newish (and not too great) 11,5° Josef and the Topolská 11° represent, along with the Cobolis 12° the lager selection. A Genius Noci honey beer was a tick for me, and there was a DDH IPA from Obora, and a Psychovar sour - some rarites right there from other regions - respect! All in all, to revisit and potentially rerate, I get the positive ratings.“

“Ah, one of Olomouc's classics. Excellent selection of Czech/regional beers with some foreign stuff, around 200 beers according to their webshop, and I can believe that. Matúš, running the store, is one of CZ online beergeek scene's better known names, and he made sure the service was a 15/10 pretty much - the guy knows his stuff too! Stocked up on beers - both regional that we normally don't get in Prague and a couple from Prague that I missed here. Good prices too. A classic beer store all in all, with much improved appearance inside and outside from these early reviews I guess, maybe missing a couple of taps to be god-tier, but the experience this time was such, so yay!“

“Now this is a student bar - and students get a discount, basement place, bit chaotic layout, eclectic decoration. But it's also a Topolský pivovar outlet - which means ticks! Also appears to have a long, "wacky" cocktail list. The Komenského 11°, named after the street Zkouška's in is brewed specially for them (obv), the 10°, the "extra hoppy" 12°, a chokeberry sour ale and a "west coast IPA" were also in presence. Good prices, quick service. All in all, a must-visit on the street if out for ticks!“

“Huh, reading the previous reviews, this place did change... Doesn't feel like a dump, maybe it was redecorated, students mostly - that's true, fairly empty around 17ish. Pretty much keeps the "scary" atmosphere to a name, close to a "haunted house" and so on. Funny table football area with pictures of footballers raising the atmosphere to a 4. The beer isn't the cheapest in CZ by far, not anymore if it ever was, Budvar, Budvar 33 for 45-ish and maybe some rotating taps - Albert Michler Trejl APA was a tick for me, that one started popping up randomly even in Prague out of the blue. Maybe Budvar distributes it, dunno. Anyway, the girl behind the bar was friendly and did her job quickly. Some classic pub food options (hermelín and suchlike). Dunno, quite skippable, but it's okay to hop into for a tick.“

“Ah, this is fun - from the outside it definitely seems like a genericish Irish/British pub that every town on Earth where alcohol is allowed seemingly has to have, but this one does have a soul, the vaulted, labyrinthine interior with multiple bars exudes atmosphere. The beer selection is limited to the basic Irish/Brit stuff I guess, but they also have a house lager brewed for them by Tvarg. Two Czech craft beers were on tap, but very basic stuff - Matuška California and something else that's pretty common. A great place for the locals to be honest, of limited interest to the tickers.“

“A basement bar, bit dark, with basically one big room with a bar, and some, 6 taps - hosting a Louka tap takeover when I visited, and a couple of fridges with beer to go (or drink there). Decent regional an non-regional selection with some rare stuff - as expected considering it was opened by Matúš, who runs the Pivní Ráj store if I understood correctly. Busy staff, got my beers quickly. Definitely one of the top places in town, and a must-visit!“

“In the old city center, in the University + Archbishopric area thereof, just outside of the Náměstí Republiky station (2, 4 from the train station). Also juuust outside of the main row of Olomouc beer places. Heavy doors get you in a hall - their beer spa to the front, the brewpub to the side. Old school place, old school design, old school folks. Pro service, not the friendliest maaybe, but not stand-offish in any way, did their job quickly. Old school brewpub assortment of beers - 10°, 12°, a wheat, a dark, a "řezané" which may or may not be a mix (didn't ask), something with fruit, sour cherry probably, and a "special" mandarin orange beer, potentially the wheat with it. The 10° was by the book if too dry, 12° less interesting than 10°, the dark quite nice, the wheat very much not a hefe-weizen it claims to be (comes with a lemon slice which actually helps it), the tangerine mix okay. It's a pretty decent place, the food looked good, but didn't partake. Pretty much a should-visit I reckon. Good prices for the beers too!“

“Thx to Kolemkoukolem who added this - might have missed it otherwise! It's one of the rare few places where Buchťák, a bit of a meme brewery for some on the scene, could be found on tap. At the western edges of the old time center, lose to the Náměstí hrdinů station (tram 7 is easiest from the train station, 4, 2 and bus 14 work too). Primarily a burger bar, doing stuff like pizza too, pretty popular-seeming, a younger crowd (sometimes with kids) attending it mostly. Odd modern-classic combo between different parts, but okay. 6 taps in evidence, and PET bottles - the 10° was very skippable sadly, washed out, 12° so so, Zahořklá" 11° in quite good form, quite a pleasant hop profilem, and the Maximus IPA meh. Didn't go for the Cherry and whatever else was the other fruit beer... as I noted too late there was a sampler tray for 145. Damn. The lunch menu is sizeable, went with a "Spanish burger" with fries - quite tasty, bit more dry than I prefer, but I really enjoyed both, for just 200ish - cheap for a burger alone let alone with something these days. Staff was okay, but after the friendly reception before, at least one seemed almost stand-offish randomly. Like, brings two identical-looking beers and just leaves immediately without a word before I could ask - thankfully they were easy to tell apart by aroma, but still. Still, though my score can't be the highest, this is very much a must-visit unless you're set to visit Buchťák itself, as you should explore the centermost center anyway, and you can get ticks easily with a sampler tray + you can get yourself a pretty decent burger (can't vouch for pizza quality, didn't see one).“

“Basement brewpub at the, as Goldbarren said, the outer ring of the historical city center, in an ideal place to start or finish your Olomouc trip, as it opens late and trams 1 and 7 get you between the main train station and the Okresní soud station in 8 minutes. Old school by all means, a couple of rooms with locals, young and old, including families, mainly enjoying their lunch, good portions, smelling nice for quite good prices. If it wasn't a bit early for me still I'd have considered eating lunch. Two busy people handling everything, excellent, friendly service - the guy basically guessed immediately what I was here for, guessed my second beer and didn't even need to ask for the third, huge props, a true legend! The 11˘ was Central European brewpub-style in its yeastiness more than Czech, but the good bitter kick firmly nailed it in ČR - more Czech than Moravian in that regards, and a solid beer. The Polotmavé was atypical as well, dry, lean and bitterish, and the APL a bit messy and subdued, with green apple/acetaldehyde issues like the polotmavé. Prices were in the range of 50-ish for large and 40-ish for small I reckon. I mean, I'll be back, probably to eat too, and I hope that the next seasonal beats the APL and so should you probably.“

“Another cellar bar. Despite it having 12 taps, only 6 were in use and selection not that good. Very dark downstairs. Furniture was retro style. 2 fridges with cans/bottles but the lights were not on. Food was basic and cooked by the server in the open kitchen.“

“Head east from the town hall then turn right after the fountain. Inside the beer hall had some single tables, but mainly long rows of tables with table cloths. 6 regular draft beers and a seasonal special, which on our visit was 🍓 strawberry. The food looked hearty. Service was ok, but a mix up in language ended with us getting the same beer again.“

“I had a meal and several beers there. Located in an old house at the outer ring of the historical town of Olomouc. Not a tourist trap, because it is not in the direct center. Many students from the nearby university buildings. It may not be a "cool and hip" bar, but the beer is fine and the ambience is nice; prices are ok“

“Straight unpretensious basement pivnice-pub with half a dozen cz-pivo on tap, mostly from known medium size breweries in ceske. Hard rock played somewhat loud. Ceska woman served with local language, only cash payment. My finger pointed out the kvasnicove on the small blackboard. 28czk for a half litre is very wallet-friendly. Could've been colder though.“
