“Located just outside and from walking distance of the city centre, train station is +- 15min-ish. very friendly service, quite a rotation of beers as they have a lot of small batches they have on offer, prices good, worth a visit.“

“Visited on a Saturday afternoon around 14:00, quite empty inside, very friendly service. Open since May 2023 and brewing beer on premises since December 2023. 4 of their own beer on tap, and some local and not so local bottle selection. Prices are quite friendly considering its practically located in the city centre (Jan '24: beers where 4.80 for 25CL), sadly no flights, food menu looked decent enough. When in the area I'd say drop by.“

“Visited on a Saturday evening with a group of >10 people. Spartan look, a bit alternative, cozy enough. Friendly staff, decent service with some knowledge of what they're selling. Gulpener is their main brand, with some of their specials on tap here. Decent and changing selection of bottled and canned beers, a.o. Uiltje, Kinnegar. Food consists of the higher end of pub food, if you want calories you need to order the Funky Schnitzel. Had a good few hours here with some nice beers.“

“Visited for food and a couple of beers during a Nijmegen pubcrawl. Bit of a hipster vibe, North American style bar food which served our needs at the time. Small tap list and adequate can/bottle selection if you approach this as a food-place first and foremost.“

“Centrally located quite close to some other noteworthy beer bars. Made a stop for just one beer here because we were on an ambitious pub crawl. Tap list seemed a bit conservative, but we found a nice big US coffee Stout to share. Not my favourite place in Nijmegen, but a decent place where you should be able to find a new beer or two.“

“Web shop based in Holland, great selection and fare prices. A bit old layout on the web page. Fast shipping, well packed box. A nice personal message - I like that personal touch!“

“Classic looking Dutch brown bar with a tap selection of 21, most of which were rather conservative Belgian focused. There's a rotating selection of about 10 cans/bottles that can offer something of interest, we were surprised to find an Armenian beer among the selection. The personell was really forthcoming and interested, which is why we returned the same day for a final beer. Despite the limited selection for seasoned beer tickers, I would recommend this as one of the best places in Nijmegen to spend some time.“

“A nice addition to the brewery landscape of Nijmegen. Located in a renovated (late 19th? c) building, has a great interior, a smallish collection of their own beers, and a cozy outside space. Visited with Harm in 2022.“

“Visited on a Monday afternoon, on our way to see Rammstein. More concert visitors had the same idea, so it was quite busy outside. This place is apparently a Dog Dealer and Nevel bar. Located in a nice old neighbourhood, just outside the busy city center. Cozy terrace / patio with plenty of seats, inside is large, 2 rooms, with a typical brown café / restaurant feel. Varied tap list with some unusual beers, as is the bottle/canned beer list. Prices are on the decent side of the price spectrum, both for the beers as for the food. We had some decent burgers and a good shakshuka. Service was efficient and friendly. Would definitely recommend and visit again when in Nijmegen.“

“Dutch webshop specialized in Belgian Geuze beer, from (almost) all manufacturers. Shipping to EU and UK. Also has some other Wild Ales. Prices of Geuzes are pretty good for Dutch standards. Selling verticals and specials also. Good service, fast delivery. I ordered in the morning, got free delivery in the afternoon. Free delivery in a radius of 50 km around Nijmegen.“

“Interesting, rather large web shop with craft beer from many different countries, European and overseas, but also with a nice local selection of rather unknown Dutch and especially Nijmegen-based breweries/brewers. I found lots of new brewery ticks as well as state and county ticks. Prices are average for Dutch shops, delivery is very quick, packaging is better than at most other web shops I know. Recommended.“

“Small beershop, packed with quite a big assortment. Mostly assorted by style, although there are also shelves with local and new beers. Some really nice gems that you won't easily find elsewhere. Prices are quite high, indeed. Friendly staff, good service. Large free parking available at shopping center, around 100 meters south of the shop. Worth a visit.“

“Visited on a Thursday evening. Located next to De Deut and De Opera. "Urban Food" bar, focusing on hot dogs / spareribs and burgers, with a decent selection of beers on the side. We sat on the patio, inside is modern with a retro 70's feel. They have a few beers brewed for them (a.o. Skinny Jeans and Holy Fudge) at De Hemel, the other beers are aliases but sold under Freddy's name, e.g. Mr. Pink was Popsicle by Oersoep, Jackie Brown a De Hemel alias. Anyway, I asked and got a straight answer, which I much appreciated. Go inside to have a look at the fridge with canned specials selected by De Bierhoeder, the local beer store. Food was decent, portions could be bigger.“

“Visited on at Thursday afternoon with great weather. Sat on their large and cozy patio, it's located on a square with more beery places (De Deut, Freddy's). Relatively small bar with some tables and stools at the bar, about 20 taps and a large bottled/canned beer list. Mix of local, foreign, classic and modern beers. €4.50 up for tap beers, €5 up for bottles. Quick and knowledgeable service. They serve food as well, looked good but didn't try any. Would certainly return when back in Nijmegen.“

“Nice shop near the city center of Nijmegen. Spacious pay parking 200 meters west from the shop, on the other side of the Railway. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff with special interest in spontaneous fermentation. This is reflected in the assortment. Amongst all other styles they have quite a lot saisons, wild ales and sours. Artisan ales include some less seen breweries like Perennial, Bøgedal Bryghus and Kemker and more than average stock of Belgian Geuzes. Also quite large selection of ciders. Fair prices. Pleasant ambience and good music inside the shop. Around 500 bottles in stock right now. Will definitely visit again.“

“Small but pleasant bar, ok for a meeting. They had surprising large beer available, still the one I ordered was out. Managed to drink 4 new ones, and had to stop, so it's OK. Good service. Want to go back.“

“Small shop near Kronenburgerpark. Decent selection in size, but with some rather special bottles and brewers. There also is a good sour/lambic section with brewers as Hanssens, Tilquin and 3 Fonteinen. Some Struise specials as well. The women behind the counter was friendly and helpful. Only weird thing is that the barber, which has a shop directly next to the beershop, is also intertwined in the shop. Will visit again if I’m around.“

“Small but packed bottle shop that is run by the owner of the bar next door (Piet Huisman), Selection is decent with many US craftbeers and other foreign beers. Prices... jeez i got scared in there, average price was above 5 euro-ish and like 50 cents to a euro more expensive than other bottleshops that i know of. Also the Belgian Trappists were more expensive than at AH XL, which is 20 meters away.... Service was friendly enough. Dont know, i wouldnt say its a must visit, but if you visit the bar next door you might as well hop in there, though there are cheaper bottleshops in Nijmegen.“

“New: 2021 > Bottleshop has moved to a new location up the large shoppingstreet towards the city center. Location is much smaller and more packed feeling than the old place. Selection looked about the same and service was the same. Can't say i like the new location because of the horrendous accesability of the city center by car. Old, Pre 2020 > Quite large bottleshop with even a place where a barber operates... selection is good with some other beers than the other bottleshops in the area. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but then again its also near the city center, and there are some specials... ah well you get what i mean. Recommended to walk in and check it out, its at the edge from the center towards Kronenburgpark and towards Stoom“

“Came here by accident, didn't even know this was a RB destination. Looks very inviting with a brown café ambiance but also a large patio in front of it. Doesn't really feel like a beer enthusiast café, but the selection is quite large. Almost twenty taps with lots of standard Dutch micros and Belgians, but also a few rotating taps. The bottle list is relatively large as well, not just Dutch but also international craft, although usually well-known stuff. The beer menu is sorted by styles and really helpful, but there is a section for beers from local breweries as well. Prices are decent by Dutch standards, staff is friendly. Food is okay by the way, wouldn't come back for that alone though.“

“Relatively small liquor store a bit off the city centre. Three or four large shelves of beer, mainly Dutch micros and Belgian classics. Large local section with De Hemel, Nevel, Oersoep and others, plus lots of seasonals during the Bock beer season. Most bottles seemed pretty fresh, seems like they have good rotation there. A little expensive, but about average for NL. Very similar to their other shop at Molukkenstraat, worth a stop nevertheless.“

“Easily one of the best beer bars I've been to in Holland. An amazing combination of a traditional brown bar and a neighborhood dive. A small, but impressive collection of craft brews, but their strength is in tradition. Visited with Harm in 2018.“

“Small to medium-sized bottle shop located in a small shopping centre. Expected to find the usual suspects plus a few locals here but I was quite surprised with their selection. Still, lots of Belgian standards of course, but with a very decent offer of Dutch micros and local beers. Not only the standard ranges but quite a few specials and one-offs that will please the beer geek. The shop owner seemed to be passionate and knowledgeable about what he sells, quite talkative and very helpful. Prices are typically Dutch but still reasonable. Nice shop!“

“Another ex-mitra store. Friendley staff: A very nice assortiment of local Dutch beers, including all local breweries of Nijmegen, a nice selecton of regional breweries as well as the ussual prime European craft breweries and a one or two oddballs. Interesting mainly if your interested in the local stuff. Prices are what you expect for mitra/ ex mitra, som mostly in the middle ground. Clearly worth a visit if you’re looking for beers from Nijmegen based breweries.“

“Visited on a Thursday afternoon. Large and spaceous but also cozy Dutch brown café, divided in 2 rooms with each their own bar. Heated and sheltered patio in front. Main area has the largest bar, some stools and tables, second area looks a bit more modern, this was reserved for a party. Nice tap list with their own tripel from De Hemel, which they’d just ran out of, unfortunately. Large beer list but focused mainly on Belgian and well known Dutch beers, not many new beers to be found for the die-hard ticker. Didn’t try any food, but I think you can eat here as well. Nice place to visit and have a beer though, always good to have a Westmalle Dubbel from tap.“

“Visited on a Thursday for lunch. Great old building, located just off the main bar-area of Nijmegen. Large patio in front that looks very inviting, but it was near freezing temperature, so we sat inside. Inside are some high and low tables, chairs, stools, bar in the back. Doesn’t breathe the ambiance you’d expect from the outside. 12 of their own beers on tap, which are nice but a bit bland and similar. Had a burger and a flight of 10 beers (for just over €10, great value for a ticker). Be aware, you can’t choose the beers yourself. Friendly staff.“

“Visited on a Thursday afternoon. I’ve added it as a restaurant, it’s more a bar with a food menu (eetcafé). Typical brown café, lots of wood and beer ornaments, feels warm and cozy. Small bar in the back on the right hand side, everything else is tables and chairs. Focus is on Belgian beers and some nice Dutch micro’s. Prices are quite high for esp the bottled beers, and would even be so in Amsterdam. Nice atmosphere though, board games are available as well. Didn’t eat here but the menu looked nice.“

“Inside it doesn’t look particularly inviting, but the large beer garden is nice, so it’s advisable to visit the place during warm weather. The staff is nice, efficient and knows what it sells. Not all beers are stellar but most are good or very good. There are quite affordable flight tasters available and if you order 10 samples, they come in two rounds 5pc each, so you don’t have to hurry. The food is quite alright but also expensive. But then again, this is the Netherlands. Definitely recommended to visit if you happen to be in the vicinity.“
