80 /100 Café Allure (Bar) MAASTRICHTERLAAN 81 Nice little bar at the mainstreet of vaals. They have 10 beers in tap. They change with the time but are local or from belgium. Service was very nice, the owner told much about the beer. The little dog ran through the Geists ans was very friendly. |
50 /100 Albert Heijn (Grocery Store) PR WILLEM ALEXANDERPLEIN 5 Medium large AH in the centre of Vaals, you can’t miss it. Beer selection is rather low compared to some other AHs but it is a good start for getting the first Dutch or Belgian beers. Sometimes you even get some nice seasonal ones plus the odd Leffes, Jupilers etc. Prices are probably as low as they can get in the Netherlands. |
72 /100 Slijterij Gouders (Beer Store) KOPERSTRAAT 13 Nice little wine and beer shop in a little street almost across a big Albert Heijn. It was easy to be found and the selection of beers was larger and better than expected. Of course there are around 10% beers that are also available at the AH and for a better price too, but the rest was just great and nice. The service of the woman who obviously owns the shop was really nice, efficient and friendly. Would go there anytime again. Prices were for a shop like that okay, one bottle of 0,3 l was around 1 to 1,50 Euro. |
48 /100 Albert Heijn (Grocery Store) PR WILLEM ALEXANDERPLEIN 5 Grocery store atmosphere, but nice selection of Dutch Oud bruins and Gulpener, which is local to area. Good variety of Dutch bers from mass market to niche. |
36 /100 Slijterij Gouders (Beer Store) KOPERSTRAAT 13 Some belgian beers and the Grain d’Orge 3 Schténg. You can go for this beer to the supermarket too. Not interesting. |
