“A lovely traditional New England farmstead with its own vineyards and orchards. We called in to taste and buy some of their cider. The owner and the girls in the shop (his daughters?) were very friendly and it turned out that he studied cider-making in Worcester (England, not Massachusetts!). Well worth a short detour. “In here on the tail ends of winter, the fireplace is still roaring, snow covers the fields. Interesting mix of wood and industrial as the large den like room with the fireplace juxtaposes the winery proper full of metal and a bottling line. Tried their new mead and the French style cider before picking up a bottle of the cider and a six of their other cider. Also put away a few of the delicious cider donuts. Nice atmosphere, and a scant few minutes out of the way on our trip to Stockbridge to go to the Norman Rockwell Museum. Only three things for the tickers out there, but still a nice place sort of tucked away in the beautiful countryside. Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the lodge feel.“

“This place is literally a stone’s throw away from the NY border. The location itself is a nice tasting room where they offer you a sample of their 2 traditional ciders and a number of wines. The + is that their ciders are both really good and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a short detour. In the fall they do pick your own apples as well.“
