88 /100 Slijterij ’t Fust (Beer Store) KERKSTRAAT 11 Visited here on a river cruise through the Netherlands and Belgium. Arguably the best beer shop for Dutch and Belgium brewers I have seen. Great selection, the owner spoke at length with us after I put six or seven beers on the counter. He even said he had two new cases from De Molen unopened, was I interested? Hell yes. Bought one from each. Prices significantly friendlier than Amsterdam. Nice town too. |
78 /100 Eet- en Bierencafé De Beiaard (Hoorn) (Restaurant) KERKPLEIN 3 A cosy place in the lively Centre of Hoorn with a good selection of Beers and Ales, mostly Belgian. Food is available and not bad at all, it‘s however predominantely a place to go for a drink. |
78 /100 Lokaal OostWest Speciaalbierwinkel (Beer Store) GROTE OOST 23 A new beershop has opened recently in Hoorn. The friendly owners are well known with the beers and really helpful. About 50 percent of the beers are Dutchies, the other 50 percent are from abroad. Certainly worth the visit when you're in the neighborhood. |
72 /100 Slijterij ’t Fust (Beer Store) KERKSTRAAT 11 Medium-sized bottle shop in the city centre with a rather small beer assortment. The selection is mainly Dutch (Kees, De Molen, Emelisse etc) along with the usual Belgians, some Germans and Americans. Very disappointing that local breweries were almost left out completely, while the ones that were supposed to be from Hoorn were actually aliases from Muifelbrouwerij. However, there were a few really special bottles I have rarely seen before which raise the level of quality and make this shop more interesting. The staff was helpful and friendly and there prices were quite good. Absolutely worth a visit when in town! |
66 /100 Mitra Hoorn (Beer Store) AAGJE DEKENPLEIN 5 Medium-sized bottle shop about half an hour away from the city centre by walking, but located close to the station Kersenboogerd. Almost a standard Mitra assortment with lots of Belgians, a few Germans and many Dutch beers, but enriched with a handful of more interesting bottles plus quite a few locals. Prices are quite fair and the staff is friendly and helpful. Not really worth a detour but surely not a waste of time to come around. |
60 /100 Albert Heijn Hoorn (Grocery Store) VAN DEDEMSTRAAT 19 Mid size grocerystore near the station and town centre. Decent selection of Dutch and forreign brews. Prices are ok. |
64 /100 Duvels (Restaurant) RODE STEEN 7 Nieuwe concept in bestaand restaurant. |
60 /100 Café CharlieS (Bar) DUBBELE BUURT 4 Looks a bit corny, with some old stuff, a slot machine and billiard. But has some decent stuff; mostly the usual Belgians, but an occasional IPA starts to creep in.
Could be worse in this barren region.. |
72 /100 Loft der Zotheid (Restaurant) NIEUWE NOORD 12 Situated in the center of town in a side street of the shopping area. Cosy interior with authentic details and lots of used fufurniture. Staff is helpful. Biergist is not that long and filled with mostly Belgium brews, although there are also ipas available. Food is of good quality and prices are reasonably. Nice place to drink a beer or have dinner |
Bediening is ok.
82 /100 Slijterij ’t Fust (Beer Store) KERKSTRAAT 11 This is a review for their webshop actually. Good selection of dutch and belgian with international beers as well, with the lion’s share going to the english ones. I sent them an email to order as there is not the option to put the beers in your cart, but they were really fast into replying and answering all my questions (regarding shipping costs etc) at the end I made my selection and they offered free shipping. The box was here the next day after payment, well packaged and with a little gift in there as well. Great prices, Orval was 1.65, cheaper I’ve seen it and a Tactical Nuclear Penguin at the lowest price i’ve found it around the country. |
80 /100 Café CharlieS (Bar) DUBBELE BUURT 4 The only place in Hoorn I would go back to. Owners are kind and know what they sell. Dutch beer on tap and bottle. And that includes the smaller brewers too. Nicely decorated too, good range of snacks. |
72 /100 Eet- en Bierencafé De Beiaard (Hoorn) (Restaurant) KERKPLEIN 3 Never been too big of a fan of de Beiaard chain because their selection hardly changes and mostly just offer the usual Belgians with some Germans and Americans. Place is huge, but empty when we were there. Food is great. |
68 /100 Slijterij ’t Fust (Beer Store) KERKSTRAAT 11 Didn’t look like much of a beerstore from the outside, but was I wrong. The selection is small but top quality. De Molen, Het Uiltje, ’t IJ and many other locals. Even a chance to pick up a special, hard-to-get beer here. |
70 /100 Slijterij ’t Fust (Beer Store) KERKSTRAAT 11 Nice big place. A decent selection of beers including de molen Uiltje and Brewdog |
84 /100 Slijterij ’t Fust (Beer Store) KERKSTRAAT 11 Easy to find and great little store with a good choice of mostly the good beers. Some foreign (think Belgium and Scotland) and some Dutch beers.
Very friendly and helpfull staf! In for a chat and knows what he is selling!
Wants to expand but is still working on some stuff inside the shop.
Nice selection with some difficult to find beers (when I was there). Prices are very ok and the staf like what they are doing. Not only selling beers... Make sure to visit! |
72 /100 Eetcafé De Klinker (Bar) RODE STEEN 13 Bar in the center of hoorn, friendly staff. They offer a good selection of mostly Belgian brews on bottle and also around 5 Beers on tap. Although nothing really special there’s something for everybody’s taste. They also serve lunch and dinner, the food is good at an affordable price. |
76 /100 Mitra Hoorn (Beer Store) AAGJE DEKENPLEIN 5 Goede behulpzame slijterij.
76 /100 Café CharlieS (Bar) DUBBELE BUURT 4 Cosy beerpub in Hoorn. Staff is open, friendly and interested. Decent beerlist with the usual international classics, but quite a few interesting Dutch beers too. Not only a beerpub, they have a serious wine, liquor and destilled list too. Mustvisit if you are in Hoorn. |
70 /100 Eet- en Bierencafé De Beiaard (Hoorn) (Restaurant) KERKPLEIN 3 Restaurant and beerpub. Food is decent and cheap to Dutch standards. They sell their own beers, brewed by De Bekeerde Suster in Amsterdam (of the same owner). The beers are good, but not really special. Nothing new under the sun. ABT-tap, so every month another unique beer available. The bottled selection is quite standard, but they have some extra bottles that are more interesting. A good place so far, the only problem is the staff: nice girls, but they know nothing about beer. |
74 /100 Slijterij ’t Fust (Beer Store) KERKSTRAAT 11 Good selection of beer and central in the city |
76 /100 Eet- en Bierencafé De Beiaard (Hoorn) (Restaurant) KERKPLEIN 3 Great ambiance in a great little port town. Not much in the way of a beer scene in Hoorn, but this branch of the Beiaard brand makes up for it. Great food to boot! |
80 /100 Slijterij ’t Fust (Beer Store) KERKSTRAAT 11 Nice store with alot of Nice beers
The local beer platte Thijs is sold here. |
