“Visited De Schans on a dark rainy evening in december 2019 to drink some of their own beers. On arrival we though that the place was closed, because there was very few light and very few signing. On the left of the building a gate was open, so we entered and followed the small sign to the back side of the building, (enter at 4th door on the right :)). Me and my father were the first two visitors that evening at half past 7 and had a warm welcome by the very friendly owner Jet. After ordering some draft De Schans beer we were invited to come and see the brewery and distillery at the adjacent room and had a very nice private tour. Later on a local couple entered and the rest of the evening we had some good and pleasant conversations with the five of us. And some other nice De Schans beers ofcourse… Time flew and we had a great evening. At the end of the evening we were allowed to buy some bottles of other beers and their own Jenever at the bottleshop in another adjacent room. Not that much choice at the bottleshop but there are some local breweries that are harder to find elsewhere. Prices are ok, maybe a bit steep at the bottleshop. Free parking available at the front of the building. Recommended.“

“Nice, small bottle shop in the centre. The selection consists of a few of their own beers and other Dutch, Belgian, German and US beers, mainly covering the classic Belgians and newer Dutch micros. Not only beers, but also their other produces like calvados or jenever can be bought. Prices are quite fair, especially for their own beers. The service is really good, the staff even brought me fresh bottles from another room and labelled them right then. Of course they also know the stories behind their beers. Nice place to visit, would recommend a detour if you’re around.“

“Looks like a livingroom filled with beers and liquors, quick look... Decent selection of beers from Netherlads and Germany. Prices are normal and service is friendly. Only three beers from the brewery for sale, pity. But with a lot of local stuff for sale makes a visit worth when in the vicinity. Expect no rarities but some import at times makes it ok! Hope they will expand their own beers quick!“

“Bottle shop located and run at the Schans brewery in the tiny village of Uithoorn. In the middle of nowhere but if you take the right roads you’ll be treated to great classic Dutch landscape and beautiful twisty river roads. The shop offers mostly Belgian stuff from larger micros and some lesser known Dutch brewer as well. The odd English ale or Brew Dog bottle completes the picture. Prices are low. Most importantly though is their own lineup, which at any given moment is made up of about 6 of their beers I believe. And very well worth te visit as they are quite rare and definitely delicious. Super friendly service from the women as well. So if you’re up for a fun drive through the Dutch polder or am desperate to try the Schans beers sometime, it’s a must visit.“

“Since moving away from Amsterdam this is now the closest beerstore for me. And I am happy with it. Good selection of Dutch, Belgian, German and American beer with some other ones as well. Arranged by style, you can even have a peek at the brewery itself if you look through the door.“

“Nice little beer & whisky shop with some unusual stuff on the shelves, especially the English and American (e.g. Unibroue, never seen it in Holland before), all arranged by style. Prices were higher than e.g. de Bierkoning in Amsterdam, but still fair. Easier to reach for my by car than Amsterdam shops, so will visit again.“

“Decent selection. You can even find some rare ales when lucky. Good atmosphere, pleasant setup. There’s enough space to walk around and often a pleasant smell of beer being brewed. :) The crew is helpfull when you have questions.“

“Decent selection. They categorize their beers not by country or brewery, but by style, which is not familiar (at least not as far as i’ve seen). Most of the Schans brews are available, some nice gueuzes.“

“Situated next to (and probably attached to) the brewery, this is a nice shop with a decent selection, but as mentioned, expensive. Opening times are limited to say the least, they only open their doors on 3 days a week...“

“Very nice selection, especially the English beers but way too expensive. Also sell the beers of De Schans which are great but again expensive.“

“Nice small beer shop adjoining the Schans brewery. Specialized in lambic, Dutch and Belgian micro's and British ales. All Schans off course available. Large assortment of malt whiskys. Not very expensive. One of the best small beer shops I know, pity that the opening times are so limited.“
