“Hoping to find some Short’s or other Michigan micros here. Not only was the selection very poor, they force you to buy singles. I left empty handed...total waste of time coming to this place.“

“Cool store in a neat old building in a touristy town. The tourists come for the ice cream shop, in the summer it’s a challenge to work your way through them. But once inside they have a surprisingly nice selection of craft beers, including several of Joe Short’s bottles that you don’t normally see up here except at the brewpub.“

“Added this place because 1 - there is not much in Alden and 2 - they have good food and great beer. This is a local hang out for the most part, but very welcoming to visitors. They have a broad menu which is mostly pub style food as well as pizzas which are very good. Most importantly, they have a few drafts, some of which are great local brews such as shorts. They also have a pool table and occasional live music. Recommended for simple but good food and beer for those not wanting for venture away from Alden.“
