“I started going here about 18 years ago when I was 21 and havent been able to drink bud light ever since. The food has always been great and the tap list is the best if you like variety and rare breeds. Live a couple hours away now and still make the trip at least once a year.“

“Excellent selection of beer and the most bombers I’ve seen yet in Michigan. Wine/food as well although havent ventured past beer aisles. Outstanding service and take very good care of regulars. Lucky to live so close!“

“im lucky to have this place so close to home. very cool place located in an old church. the food menu isnt huge but the food is incredible. they smoke their own meats, have a great raw bar on occasion and makes some of the best mac and cheese there is. the tap list i think is usually around 35-40 beers that include some of the best and rarest in the country. what a great place, i might go there right now.“

“A really great bar. Converted from an old church, the restaurant always has 20-30 beers on tap. The food is great, if limited selection. Try the famous mac and cheese!“

“This former church has found a higher calling. This multi-tap has food pairings that are to die for and there is a crying room for the recently departed. No matter when I go here the place is always packed and always outstanding. Very highly recommended.“

Rudy’s (Beer Store)
9 S. MAIN ST.
“Being the grand-daughter of the original Rudy (my family no longer owns the store) and a beer lover now, it is nice to see our old family store with a craft beer selection. That being said, I wish the selection was more vast...too much room is taken up by wine in my opinion. It is an easy place to drop in and grab a 6-pack after I walk my dog, so I can’t really complain. :)“

“I guess I’m a little biased, because I’m a Clarkston local, but it really is a great restaurant. Lots and lots of beer on tap, and heavy on the MI beers, which makes me a very happy girl. The staff is relativity knowledgeable about the beers, but i wouldn’t say they give the best recommendations. The food is delicious, everyone should try the mac & cheese, but the grilled cheese is my favorite. It is a nice place to have lunch, but it gets packed for dinner. There is also a good chance you will see Kid Rock having dinner. The prices are steep but the selection is worth it. If you are traveling N on i-75, get off on exit 91 and go to the Union!“

“Stopped in for a beer after work, first time I’d been there. Very cool place, an old converted church. Nice vibe inside. Huge selection of taps, and very focused on Michigan - about 6 Bells taps and maybe 5 from Shorts. A snifter of Hopslam was $6, so not the greatest value, but it was sweet to have it on tap. I’ll be back.“

Rudy’s (Beer Store)

“I first went to Rudy’s market 45 years ago when Rudy worked there. I visited last month after 30 years away and was surprised to find a wonderful beer selection. Prices are what I pay at Champange’s and the import selection is a little better. Young gal in a low cut top was very helpful.“

“This is such a wonderful place with as many as 40 brews on tap.....and the menu is outstanding! The also have a very good bottle selection and wine list as well. Dont forget to go downstairs as well for pool and jukebox, with another smaller bar with more selections on draft an bottle. The staff is also very freindly and realitivly knowledge, they will let you know some of the opinions they have and can awnser questions as well. The best thing is that I litterally live across the street....like less than 40 yards from the front door.....and I am fortunate to do so.“

“Rudy’s is a great deli and grocery store that has been around forever. they have a unbelivable selecion and awesome an awesome choice of bombers’. It privately owned and get to know the staff who are just as eager to talk beer and ask if they can help you find what you are looking for or possibaly order it if they can. top notch for a small store.“

“Great place to stop and get a bite to eat with a brew or stop for great selection of Bottled beer and stuff on tap, wife took me there for my Birthday. We stopped in right after the lunch time, they must have had about 30 to 40 taps along with 20 bottled beers available, I tried the two Shorts brews on the tap menu along with a Pot Pie and Macaroni Cheese dish, tasty food along with great service, I recommend stopping here, it was pretty quiet when I visited but I can see the noise geting up there with a full house, the old church building accentuates the vocal vibrations, stop in and enjoy their food and large selection of brews.“

“Large taplist of some hard to find brews and a decent bottle selection make this a must stop in nothern Oakland county. That being said, they could be a must stop for the metro Detroit if they would swap out the 10 taps of "macro craft" like Redhook and Blue Moon and replace it with some of Michigans finest like Founders, Dark Horse, etc. They have four Bells taps and currently two Stone: smoked porter and arrogant bastard. Bottle selection contains some of the Belgians they are missing on tap including the full line of Chimay, Duvel, and Orval. Lots of Sam Smith as well. Food is good and worth eating. As others have noted, place can get busy so call ahead.“

“I love this place. It’s in an old church right on Main Street. They have 20-30 beers on draft and all are micros or imports. Plus, they have a stellar bottle selection. Prices are medium/high, but it is such a relaxing place. There is usually quite a wait, but don’t forget to go down to the basement to play free pool or check out the greatest hidden jukebox of all time! Plus, they have a small bar there with a few drafts. Food is decent, if not a bit salty. Overall, it’s a gem.“

“This is a fun place to drink beer. There is a nice variety of American beers, though not much in the way of imports. The food is excellent, the specialty being baked macaroni - try it, it’s good. Another plus is the 5 beer sampler. Get two of these and you can try the best of the 30 or so beers on tap and still walk a relatively straight line.“
