Tadych's (Iron Mountain) (Grocery Store)
1600 S. STEPHENSON AVE.
“A solid small-chain grocery store with a sizeable refrigerated beer section. It had four sections dedicated to craft beers and half of those contained U.P. and lesser-known Michigan beers. A separate section is set aside for pick-six selections ($9.99 -- quite reasonable), though the B.Y.O. area has gotten smaller since Drake's visit and wasn't well-stocked when I visited (only eight or nine local craft beers). Beer area was adjacent to a lengthy aisle displaying the products of Michigan wineries and there were a few offerings from Michigan distilleries among the big-name boozes. The staff was friendly and the restrooms clean -- the latter always important considering the distances between U.P. towns!“

“Tadych's usually is one of the best beer stores in the UP. Pretty much the best all around store for the small UP cities. Iron Mountain qualifies as the 5th or 6th largest UP city at a quaint 7500 people. Big beer selection, including lots of craft. Tons of locals. No real rarities but you will get a lot of MI ticks here from their 3 door BYO section ($9.99). Something I haven't seen elsewhere is they create their own canned 4 packs with some cool stuff. Prices good. Staff was fine. Recommended if you're in Iron Mountain.“
