82 /100 440 S JEFFERSON ST Cute little brewery. Not too big, but would be nice to visit when the patio is opening. Lots of neat exposed brick. The place was busy, but the bartenders were really attentive. The food truck was awesome and well priced. They did table service and were really fast and friendly. The beer was good. Had a good selection and offered crowlers. A bit out of the way for me, but I really liked it. A good place to have brews with friends. |
60 /100 440 S JEFFERSON ST I’ve been here three times First when they just opened. Beer was pretty bad, had that home brew flavor, but I had hope they would figure out the problems. Second months later, tried 4 beers between us. All tasted like band aids. Staff acted like it was supposed to taste like that? Third months later (took that long to convince SO to make another attempt). Beer tasted better, but not worth the trip. Staff ignored everyone. Very busy behind the bar on paper work of some kind. I doubt I’ll ever go back. There’s a risk in naming your business ’Bad’, if it really IS bad, people will remember that. |
88 /100 440 S JEFFERSON ST What this bar lacks in size it makes up for in ambiance and friendliness. For a very small operation they had a huge selection with 14 of their own beers on tap. Met the owners Brian and Danielle and got a tour of the production room from Brian. Had a pint of the No Stout About it and the Super D’s IPA. Also took a howler (32 oz) of the King Nugget’s double IPA home. All were very good. No food available besides some snacks, but that makes sense for a brewery this size. Food can come later if they expand, but for now they are concentrating on the beer and in my opinion they are doing very well at it. |
80 /100 440 S JEFFERSON ST Cozy, standard old bar layout in an old building in downtown Mason. Nice, décor; comfortable. Great selection for a small brewpub. It’s out of the way for me, but I will definitely be back. |
