“Visited on 7th December 2023 with Auntie Sue and Margie, early afternoon. Unassuming little cafe/bar tucked away from the main tourist routes. Outside seating gives more space than inside, boring tap selection but the fridge held enough to let you know they like to sell decent beer here. Managed a couple of local beers before the ladies wanted to move onto the market and see more of Las Palmas, bugger!“

“New craft beer bar not far from the bus station. Very simple but clean interior. White walls and lots of tiles. Black bar stools and tables. Very limited seating inside but the climate allows sitting outside on the square in front all year long. Friendly and efficient service. Five out of eight taps were from Dawat. Also two from Basqueland and one from Galotia. Taphandles are actually billiard balls. Fun! Two fridges with bottles and cans. A new must visit bar for me when I visit Gran Canaria every second year. “The best bar for craf beer in the southern parts of Las Palmas (July 2023) Very nicely situated in a courtyard/square between Constantino and Perdomo. Nice patio and some seats inside in the small bar. This place is both a restaurant and bar. Boring beer on tap but lots of bottles and cans in several fridges. No beer menue, the selection in the fridges rotates very often I was told. Very friendly and attentive service. Some cans was rather expensive, but craft beers are pricy nowadays, even in Spain. “Local agradable con terraza en el exterior. Buena selección de cervezas incluyendo de alguna cervecera local. También bastante disponible de cervezas peninsulares tanto en grifo como en dos neveras en el interior. Algo caro. Pinta a 7,5€.“

“Nice restaurant facing a square. Limited seating inside, but large outdoor seating area. 3 macro beers on tap but in the fridge there are bottles from Jaira, Vagamundo, NAO, Mawa, Basqueland and Dougal´s. Not many from each brewery, but a decent selection. Very friendly service, talkative about beer. I had a bottle from NAO. (Visited July 5th 2019)“

The Block (Bar)
CALLE LEPANTO 1
“Right on the beach promenade, The Block is like a beach bar with deck chairs, palm trees and the sound of waves. But beer? Macro beers on tap and most of the bottles in the fridge too. But, all four bottles from Drago are available here. Not really great beers but hard to find here at Gran Canaria. Friendly service and free peanuts. Had two «craft» bottles from Mahou and enjoyed the view. Since there are so many good beer bars in Las Palmas nowadays, I will only revisit If there is a new bottle from Drago, or the beer selection improves. (Visited July 5th 2019)“

“Cool rock bar right on the seaside promenade. Nice outdoor seating, spacious inside too. Simple, dark wooden furniture, a small scene for live music. Toilets «hidden» behind the fridge beside the bar. 3 ordinary beers on tap but about 30 bottles in the fridge. Jaira, Vagamundo, NAO, Mawa Pale Ale and their house beer from Viva: NYC Taxi. The latter my be an alias beer. When I asked if I could purchase beers for takeaway, the answer was no. What? Never experienced that before here at Gran Canaria. I enjoyed two bottles and received very friendly service from the man from the kitchen. He spoke English well and had knowledge about beers. Free olives, nice! (Visited July 5th 2019)“

CALLE ALFREDO L. JONES 33
“A popular cafe offering vegan burgers and salad. Beer? The main reason to visit is that they have all four beers from Drago available in bottles. Beers from Drago is not that good, but can be hard to find. Also some bottles from Fiera, Vagamundo and a beer from Growls Craft Beer available on tap and to take home in growler. I came for the Drago ticks. Friendly and efficient service. Well worth a visit after spending two hours at the aquarium «Poema del Mar» (Visited July 4th 2019)“

“Cool little place with a bunch more Belgian and Spanish bottles than I expected to see in the Canaries. Cheap enough, and you can buy bottles to go - in my case to wander around town. Friendly servers.“

“Nice modern-looking place, bit too small imo, only 4 taps with rather boring stuff on them (Pilsner Urqell rly guys?) but what’s the main advantage are dozens of bottle stored in fridges (Naparbier, Brewdog, Mikkeler just to name a few together with shitloads of belgian brews).Decent prices. OVERALL: Probably the best pub on Gran Canaria but to be honest i would rather use it as a bottleshop not a place to drink something from the tap.“

“The best craft beer bar by the seafront in Las Palmas. From their patio you can enjoy beer and watch people passing by and the city beach, Playa de Las Canteras. Nice. 15 taps among these 5 from German Schneider and 2 from Mikkeller. Not bad! But, the real gem is the room with several fridges full of craft beer, both domestic and from abroad. How many? I didn’t count, but I guess about 100. I chose two from the local brewery Tamaragua to enjoy outside on the patio. Good service and English speaking staff. Maybe a tourist trap, but I don’t care! I liked this place. (Visited July 10th 2017) Revisited July 2023: New owners since my last visit in 2017. More or less the same bar, but the room in the back with several fridges are now replaced by three fridges to the left when you enter the bar. Beers on tap are reduced from 15 to 7, but more local beers on tap now. Still good selection in the fridges and very service minded straff. Great place!“

“Sorry, we open in about half an hour. What the f...., according to Facebook this bar opened 15 minutes ago. Well, I had to take a stroll in the area. Nice seafront by the way, and I actually had to find shelter because of rain. Rain in Gran Canaria! When I came back to Coriasso’s all this were quickly forgotten. A service minded barman who spoke English perfectly and a great tap list and interesting bottles and cans in the fridge. Now we’re talking! Only one Spanish beer on tap, their house beer Coriasso’s Hopio, brewed by Jaira. A tasty and hoppy IPA. The barman (the owner?) himself had made the recipe and was proud of the beer. I agree. In the fridge there were more Spanish craft beers. I also had a bottle, DouGall’s Happy Otter and a fresh IPA from BrewDog, Pump Action Poet. This bar seems to have a special deal with BrewDog. Totally 12 taps, 3 are always from BrewDog and one is reserved for Guinness. Seating both inside, outside and by the long bar counter. I will visit again for sure, maybe in two years? “Lots of bottles. In glass cabinets that can be opened and beers surveyed. Sorted by country. A lot of brewdog. Some spanish craft beers. 4 on tap including Two Napabier. Hoppy pils and ZZ Amber. One canadian ipa. Flying monkey. Small place. Some tables outside. Roadworks making lots of noice. 5-5.50 € for my 0.45l Napabier Amber and bottle of Basqueland Brewing Project Imparable IPA“

“Small and intimate bar, with some outside seating on the pavement. Nice people behind the bar, offering free olives/nuts with the beers, and felt immediately at home here. Would’ve liked some more beers on taps, but the bottle selection was very good, and with easy access so you can select you own bottles and bring them to the bar. Bottles also available for takeaway. Paid 5-6 euros for a 33cl bottle of Naparbier IPA, so a bit pricey.“

“Spacious bar with a lot of seating both inside and outside. Quite impressive tapline with quite a lot of the Brewdog beers, and a nice selection of bottles in the fridge behind the bar - with a good variety of quality craft beers from Spain, Europe and the US. My Rogue Brutal IPA did not exactly taste as it should be, so may be some quality issues with the taps here. A menu/list of the bottled beers with prices would’ve been god.“

“Basic spanish bar. Staff is kind of rude and don’t speak english. About 100 different bottles but maybe 90% is basic beers like lagers and pilsners. Not the beer location to visit for. The situation bar up the north is the place if you look for crafts.“

“Nuce bartender, abit show goes with. Most of the bottled beers are in the backroom in fridges. You have to ask. Many taps, can find some local rarities. Unfourtunately closed early and even some days (thursday). Not perfectly clean, but acceptable.“

“Nice and comfy place compared others in same town. Bartender was very nice, friendly and even spoke some english. Beer selection is quite good - over the world beer mainstream is represented, also some Spanish smaller ones. And prices were quite good. In tap also offered local as well as world famous ones. And - the bar was veey clean! I liked it. For sure worth to visit when in Las Palmas Gran Canaria.“

“Small, cosy bar/café bar in the old part of Las Palmas. Near the cathedral and the turisty stuff. So it should be within a comfortable walk for most people going to Las Palmas. Excellent selection by Canarian standards with just two taps and quite a lot of bottles from Belgium, Germany, England and a few local and domestic options. All nicely displayed in big coolers. Nice and chatty barman. We had some nice snacks and cakes with our drinks. Probably the best place on the Canaries for beers. Good prices for a Scandinavian person at least. Highly recommended when on Gran Canaria.“

“From Estacion de Guaguas (The main bus station in Las Palmas) I changed to "Yellow bus" no. 1: Teatro-Puerto, and got off in the street Tomas Miller. If you are a new kid in town, you probably need a map to see where to get off the bus. A short walk will lead you to The Situation, in the Junction Franchy Rocha/Fernando Guanarteme. The bar is rather small, but has seating outside in front of the bar. Beers on tap are not worth an odyssey: Heineken, Bombardier and Schneider Weisse. But, their beer menu (and website) offers about 160 bottles. In addition, look in the fridge for goodies from Emelisse, Rogue Ales, Anderson Valley, Nomada and Brouwerij ’t IJ. The barmaid said they more than 200 bottles. I enjoyed some imported bottles on the patio under the palm tree and got free "pincho" (tapas/small snack) for every bottle. Great service! Other guests seemed to drop in for coffee, I was a lone beer drinker at noon. But, I think it’s all about beer in the evening. Before I left, I filled up my wheeled suitcase with selected bottles to enjoy in my holiday apartment later. Probably the best beer bar in Las Palmas at the moment. (Visited June 25th 2015) Revisited July 2023: Still a nice craft beer bar, but not the best beer bar in Las Palmas nowadays. No written information about beers on tap and hardly and English spoken. It was not easy to find out what I drank! The bottled selection in fridges are still good but not as many beers as back in 2015.“

“Cozy small bar in the old part of Las Palmas. The selection is mostly focused on Belgian beers including several of the trappists - but they also have 10-15 Spanish microes from the Canaries. It was a good place to stop for lunch and some beer while walking about in Las Palmas.“

“Seems like a Belgian brasserie in the middle of Las Palmas. The selection consists mostly of well-known Belgians and then less-known local brews. Service very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Quiet during daytime. Could well be the best place for beer geeks in Gran Canaria.“

“I had a rental car for three days and on my way to Galdar I stopped at El Corte Ingles Shopping Centre in the outskirts of Las Palmas. I headed for Hipercor and was surprised to find 25-30 beers from small Spanish breweries, a good selection from Germany and the usual suspects among Belgian beers. In recent years there have been a boost in Spanish microbreweries but the quality varies a lot. Nevertheless, always nice to find new beers not yet rated at Ratebeer! (Visited July 10th 2013)“

“As far as I know, this is the best pub in Gran Canaria! It is situated in the Old City - Vegueta, near the Cathedral. Lots of Belgian beers and the best: two rotating taps from the local brewery Viva and four bottles. (Happyness, Morena, Lager, Premium Pilsen, Trigo and Libre) Great service from the owner and beer enthusiast Ramon. I’m already looking forward to my next sunny holiday!
