“Really cool taproom. Flights available. 8 beers on today. Beers okay, but they are just getting started. Awesome friendly people working here.“

“Visited late afternoon on a Friday. I was shopping next door, and needed a bottle of wine for that evening. Added this place, as I have family in the area, and there are not many great options in this immediate area. Easy to find right off of Highway 100. The beer selection is improved greatly over the years, and they feature a solid selection of Minnesota craft. The selection isn’t huge, though it did feature a few one-offs and seasonals. No singles or mixed six that I saw. Worth taking a look if you are in this part of town.

64 = ★★ (Just ok)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Solid spot. Looks like 35 taps. Lots of TVs, long tables - very much a chill beer hall vibe. I’m digging it.“

“I enjoy stopping by for a beer (usually two and sometimes three). If it is near meal time and I feel like something different I try out one of their sausages with unique toppings. Their new burgers are really good also. I’m not a huge fan of indoor bench seating, unless you’re with a big group. There are a. Umber of very large TV screens broadcasting different sporting events. They have accommodated my game request (usually soccer matches). My biggest gripe is that their HH pricing only applies to a limited selection of beers, most of which are not of interest. I’ve started visiting other bars and breweries for better pricing, which is important once you retire!“

“Despite being situated in a strip mall the inside really give a nice beer hall fell. Large benches and tables dominate with a bar along one side and a smaller patio outside. A good number of some TVs so that may be a turnoff for some but not me. Service is good overall. They had nearly 40 taps with a mix of local and national brands. I did not try the food on my visit. Prices are in line with the area. A nice spot overall, especially for the burbs.“

“I visited the original North East location shortly after it opened and really enjoyed it although haven’t been back. Glad to see that they’re doing well as their now 7 locations and growing would indicate. I really liked the Golden Valley location. Excellent beer selection and really good German food. Not sure why I don’t go more often, but if you haven’t been you should.“

“Small, cramped space with a downmarket feel. The beer selection was pretty paint-by-numbers. There were perhaps 100 different beers, much of it macro stuff kept in fridges. The lady working the register seemed pretty kind. Otherwise, there wasn’t much to commend this place. Don’t lose sleep if you pass this store by.“

“This place must have recently raised their game, because I was pretty impressed by my visit. There were perhaps 300-400 unique beers available, including some very tough to find stuff that usually flies off the shelves as soon as it lands in Minneapolis (think more limited releases from Alpine, TG, Surly, Founders). The European selection was generally stronger than other stores in the area too, which was nice to see. Prices were adequate. Service was laid back but friendly. Overall, this place is worth a look.“

“This has become a pretty solid store. The mix and match 6-pack section is still fairly small, but they have a ton of beer, and typically get the tougher to find beers / releases.“

“Visited later on a Saturday evening. Bit of a trip down memory lane, this is located where Godfather’s Pizza used to be, a post we used to sneak out of High School and eat at. Interesting setup, food bar straight ahead when you enter, with the beer bar behind and around the corner. All of the seating is long communal modern beer hell tables. Also outdoor seating on two sides. Beer selection is a nice balance between local craft and high quality national craft. Had some real treats on the menu when I visited, Alesmith Grand Cru and New Belgium Transatlantique Kriek. Service is at the bars, with food delivered to your table. Super friendly guys working the bar, crazy knowledgeable about their beer and genuinely engaging. Much appreciated addition to this end of town.

82 = ★★★½ (Solid place, near the top of the list for locals and visitors)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Easy to find off of Highway 55. The store is smaller, and somewhat cramped. The beer selection is on the far side of the store, rack of warm large format bottles, cooler full of beers, and somewhat random selection on top around the cooler. Decent selection of local beers, and an ok national and import selection. No singles or mix a six. Service was not sought out, but the guy working the register was friendly. For the immediate area, I prefer Liquor Barrel but they are similar stores.

“Very small craft selection, with a small build your own six pack. Ten percent off if you buy three singles so that was nice. Not really a destination store. Average prices.“

“Visited on a Friday afternoon. Easy to access strip mall right off Hwy 55, between 169 and 100. Layout is typical liquor store, with the beer in the back left hand corner. About 10 cooler doors of craft, a small single selection and a larger rack of warm craft in import beers. Selection was slightly above everyday beer store, good MN representation. Staff was friendly. Decent spot to hit if you are on that side of town.

“Best part about this place is their craft beer kegs. I’ve purchased 5 gallon kegs from them twice in the last 6 months. When I broke the tub that the keg sits in, they didn’t charge me extra for it. Five years ago their beer selection would have been top 5-10 in the Metro. Now it is simply another good selection that doesn’t quite rank up there with the elite. Still, there really aren’t a lot of other good options for liquor stores with good beer selections in the immediate area, so don’t hesitate to stop if you live or are in the immediate area.“

“Located in a strip mall just off 55. Not a bad place to visit, was just kind of blah. There were 3 people working there chatting it up and not one of them offered to help. Selection was pretty good, nothing special though. Prices seemed good, but nothing caught my fancy outside of the Oberon on the shelf, which gets me excited for the summer. Don’t really see a reason to visit this place again.“

“AMBIANCE - Not so much. Spacious and well organized, though. SERVICE - They "let us browse," as they saying goes. Pretty friendly at checkout. SELECTION - Not bad. 21st Amendment, Goose Island, Deschutes, Surly, lots of locals. The normal MN rotation from what i could tell. Was glad to find Nightstalker and 21st Amend IPA. VALUE - Not really a noticeable difference one way or the other. Some of the rarer items were pricey. OVERALL - Not a bad shop, certainly enough selection to make this out-of-towner’s eyes pop.“
