72 /100 Armazém e Botequim Granel (Restaurant) AV. DUQUE ESTRADA, 50 Best in Niterói. |
60 /100 Empório Icaraí (Bar) RUA MEM DE SÁ, 111 I finally made it here after many contemplations in the past. (It’s always a struggle to go to Niterói) The place is really nice with a nice outdoor area. It has a pretty good selection with some beers I haven’t even seen in Rio. They have three of their own beers which are brewed at Mistura Clássica. (I haven’t tried them yet, they’re chilling in the fridge). The service was friendly if a little incompetent. It isn’t great value but I believe there aren’t many beer options in Niterói so if you’re there, you’re pretty much out of luck otherwise. I didn’t try the food so can’t comment on it but they do have a nice selection of cheeses and hams etc... Not really worth the trip from Rio alone but if you find yourself in Niterói, make an effort to get there. |
96 /100 Empório Icaraí (Bar) RUA MEM DE SÁ, 111 This small high-class Bar and Beer Store offers top-quality beers from all around the globe, including special models from good brazilian micro-breweries. Served by very charismatic bartenders that, unfortunatelly, aren’t experts, but smart enough to be helpfull when indicating a new beer. Everyone has the chance to try special beers and eat special cheeses, hams, saussages, and all kind of tipical top-level beer cousine. It has been my favourite place since I have founded it 3 years ago. Unfortunatelly the prices are not easily affordable, but that’s sadly tipical for special places like these in Brazil. That’s the only reason my overall rating is not maximum grade. All the rest is absolutelly perfect untill today! |
