“Nice brewpub with a couple of their own beers on tap and an extensive list of others European beers to choose from. Friendly staff and good food too. Shared the pork knuckle and a salad with the three of us and all went away quite full and happy. Would have liked to see more local brews on the menu but was extremely happy with the citra blond of the house.“

“Thai place in Interlaken, about 15 mins walk form Interlaken West train station. Smallish place with some tables outdoors. Place is popular and busy, so definitly necessary to do a reservation. They have 5 taps and do a tasting tray of those beers. 4 swiss local breweries and one international (a Vaulty City sour). The swiss beers were Ok, but nothing too exciting. The international selection is very nice though. Mostly very interesting European (NE)IPAs, also some sours and some American stuff. Very lovely (and authentic) food. Owner was friendly and chatty. Very recommended place.“

“Small Thai restaurant in Matten, close to Interlaken. Can be pretty full, especially in high season when a lot of tourists are in Interlaken. The owner is really passionate about beer and runs a small brewery (Mountain Madness). 6 taps - 2 for Mountain Madness and 4 for mostly imports. Nice selection from breweries all over the world. Additionally, there is a selection of approximately 20 beers from a fridge covering a wide range of styles and countries. Often American imports are available which are not as easy to get in Europe. Prices are exceptionally low for Swiss standards. The Thai food is also excellent. Particularly the curries are recommended if you enjoy spicy food. Definitely, the best place for good beer in Interlaken with delicious Thai food. For sure worth a visit if you are in the area.“

“Can't put my finger on exactly what was going on but we didn't have the best of times at this place - might just have been exhaustion from a long day in the mountains. 3 taps were their own (Haarige Kuh and Burgbier), 2 were guests (523, Sahtipaja). Good selections of bottles in the fridge, too. Owner was oddly patronizing with regard to our beer choices, which I didn't appreciate. Will go back at some point to make up my mind.“

“So tons of beer styles pair really well with good Asian food - give me a good stout or full-bodied IPA with a spicy dish and I'm in heaven. This is a Thai restaurant that is a legit craft beer bar - one of the staff said that this comes from the owner, who is a serious beer geek (with excellent taste in breweries, based on the wall decor). So the ambiance gets dinged because this is by the cheaper hotels / hostels in Interlaken and it shows a bit. Food is legit good though and service is solid (even if the bottle / can list is a bit out of date). So onto the beer - owner brews his own stuff under the brand "Mountain Madness". Had two of his things on tap when I was there and both were better than I expected (a damn good sour from them and an IPA). Also had two Amager IPAs. These were good as Amager is solid. They have 5 taps and let you do a flight of 4 of them (they were out of the 5th when I was there). Bottle and can selection is this really eclectic mix of stuff from around the US and Europe which is quite good. They were out of my first choice but had my alternate (both Amundsen boozy stouts). Quite tasty and had a bunch of stuff from the US (like what is Alvarado doing out here?) which I'd be interested in if I were not from the US. So this is a really strange rating. Draft beer is an enthusiastic and skilled home brewer. Bottles + cans are eclectic but stuff you can find elsewhere (albeit nowhere near to the place). I'd say that if you're looking for great beer in Interlaken you should stop here, but it won't rate as good as it is given the weight RB gives ambiance and service (service was fine but I have to ding for hit and miss availability). Food is quite tasty by the way. I love me some drunken noodles with boozy stouts.“

“I don't get how the rating algorithm gets this place as low as it does. Relatively low number of lines (think around 7) - none of their own when i was there but 4 rare Swiss, two LERVIG (for some reason) and a widely available local Swiss. Draft lines were fine and would earn a decent rating but not spectacular. Bottle selection is a mix of a good Swiss shelf (heavy on a few brewers - I got a couple of White Frontier which looked interesting) and a smattering of mid-upper tier beers from across Europe and the US. All prices are good (like the US beers are what I'd pay for these in the US). This is not a spectacular place but is a place where you can stock up with good stuff if you can't bring it to Interlaken. Well done. Also ate there and both fiancee and I were happy with the selection. Also had a large selection of ciders in bottle. Staff was very very helpful. Recommended.“

“Beer bar and shop close to the train station Interlaken West. This place has kind of an Apres-Ski feel to it and clearly is targeting tourist as nearly every place in Interlaken does. When I was there they had seven beers from tap (1 macro, 3 of their own brewery, 2 local, 1 import). The selection of bottle and cans consist mostly of widely available European breweries - some of them really good and for decent prices, many of mediocre quality. Standard Belgium Abbey beers but also some more common Lambics and a good selection of a few very local breweries. Prices are good for Swiss standards. Limited selection of food is available but I did not try it. Additionally they have a decent selection of spirits. Overall worth going if you are around but I would not do a lengthy trip to get there.“

“Nice brewery with large beautiful copper tanks and a huge cellar (with a tasting bar for gin and whiskey). You get what you would expect from a brewery. There is also a small affiliated place to eat across the street, with very decent food and the beers.“

“Nice cozy place with good Swiss craft beer on tap (and bottles if you’re into that). Food was good too, and prices were pretty standard for Switzerland (exorbitant anywhere else).“

“after seeing Hooters listed and finidng they had only basic taps you can find anywhere I had to add The 3 Tells to help guide others - this place has a good selection of local taps (for Switzerland) - when we went they had an unfiltered lager, an amber lager, a brown ale, and two pilsners all from either zurich, Interlaken or wherever cardinal is from. In addition they also had usual UK offerings like Guiness etc. we didn’t eat but they had some good things on their menu. As for prices they had a great happy hour that included all small local beers for CH3 or big 0.5L for CH4 - which was a very pleasant surprise - and you can buy multiple glasses before happy hour is over which we did to try multiple beers. It didn’t seem like regular prices were that bad either. again, after scouring Interlaken for decent beer this was a great find. as others said I can also recommend going to Rugenbrau as its scenic etc, but their selection is limited. With this place you can try their beers as well as Cardinal and Eichhof beers (a macro but with some decent seasonals).“

“Was very surprised to stumble across a hooters in Switzerland! Also one in Thun FYI. Hooters girl scenery very lacking and unimpressive. Had to explain to a local what a real hooters is like :-) very few beers to choose from but Rugenbrau makes a pretty good beer. Nachos were ok. Still, went for the girls and was let down.“

“Went here back in ’02, but I remember it like it was yesterday. I was surprised at the taps at the time but on further reflection they’re more or less what you’ll get anywhere else. Still, pretty cool to have a Hooters as a place rating. Oh yeah, I had a hamburger. It was okay. I had a Rugenbrau. It was pretty good.“

“Kind of a hollow shell of a hooters, but you can sit in the side greenhouse room and get panoramic alpine views, so that definitely boosts the ambiance. The food is ok, nut definitely not inspiring, and there are many better options around. The service just isn’t the same as hooters in the states... alas. They have the unfiltered Rugenbrau zwikel and the dunkel, as well as the helles on draft, which I didn’t see anywhere else in town, though by all means I didn’t do too thorough of a search.“

“Rugenbrau on draft isn’t too bad for a swiss beer. This is the only Hooters in Switzerland, so made a road trip a few times with the family from Geneve. Food is comparable to Hooters anywhere else.“

“An interesting contrast to most bars in Interlaken. Good food, good service, wonderful waitresses, and beer from local brewer Rugenbrau. The view from the front terrace across the Matten towards the Jungfrau is one of the best in the world.“
